Chapter 10 ¹ Now these are the generations𐤕𐤅𐤋𐤃𐤕 of the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Noah,𐤍𐤇 Shem,𐤔𐤌 Ham,𐤇𐤌 and Japheth:𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤕 and unto them were sons𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 born𐤅𐤉𐤅𐤋𐤃𐤅 after𐤀𐤇𐤓 the flood.𐤄𐤌𐤁𐤅𐤋 Αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις τῶν υἱῶν Νῶε, Σῆμ’, Χάμ, ’σαν αὐτοῖς υἱοὶ μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμόν. ² The sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Japheth;𐤉𐤐𐤕 Gomer,𐤂𐤌𐤓 and Magog,𐤅𐤌𐤂𐤅𐤂 and Madai,𐤅𐤌𐤃𐤉 and Javan,𐤅𐤉𐤅𐤍 and Tubal,𐤅𐤕𐤁𐤋 and Meshech,𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤊 and Tiras.𐤅𐤕𐤉𐤓𐤎 Υἱοὶ Ἰάφεθ· Μαγώγ καὶ Μαδαὶ καὶ Ἰωυὰν καὶ Ἔλισά καὶ Θοβὲλ καὶ ΜόσοΧ καὶ Φειπάς. ³ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Gomer;𐤂𐤌𐤓 Ashkenaz,𐤀𐤔𐤊𐤍𐤆 and Riphath,𐤅𐤓𐤉𐤐𐤕 and Togarmah.𐤅𐤕𐤂𐤓𐤌𐤄 καὶ υἱοὶ Γάμερ· Ἀσχανὰζ καὶ Ῥιφὰθ καὶ Θεργαμά. ⁴ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Javan;𐤉𐤅𐤍 Elishah,𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤔𐤄 and Tarshish,𐤅𐤕𐤓𐤔𐤉𐤔 Kittim,𐤊𐤕𐤉𐤌 and Dodanim.𐤅𐤃𐤃𐤍𐤉𐤌 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰωυάν· Ἐλισὰ καὶ Θαρσίς, Κήτιοι, Ῥόδιοι. ⁵ By these were the isles𐤀𐤉𐤉 of the Gentiles𐤄𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤌 divided in𐤍𐤐𐤓𐤃𐤅 their lands;𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤕𐤌 every one𐤀𐤉𐤔 after his tongue,𐤋𐤋𐤔𐤍𐤅 after their families,𐤋𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕𐤌 in their nations.𐤁𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤄𐤌 ἐκ τούτων ἀφωρίσθησαν νῆσοι τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐν τῆ γῆ αὐτῶν· ἕκαστος κατὰ γλῶσσαν ἐν τοῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν. ⁶ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Ham;𐤇𐤌 Cush,𐤊𐤅𐤔 and Mizraim,𐤅𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 and Phut,𐤅𐤐𐤅𐤈 and Canaan.𐤅𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 Υἱοὶ δὲ Χάμ· Χοὺς καὶ Μεσπάιν, Φοὺδ καὶ Χανάαν. ⁷ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Cush;𐤊𐤅𐤔 Seba,𐤎𐤁𐤀 and Havilah,𐤅𐤇𐤅𐤉𐤋𐤄 and Sabtah,𐤅𐤎𐤁𐤕𐤄 and Raamah,𐤅𐤓𐤏𐤌𐤄 and Sabtecha:𐤅𐤎𐤁𐤕𐤊𐤀 and the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Raamah;𐤓𐤏𐤌𐤄 Sheba,𐤔𐤁𐤀 and Dedan.𐤅𐤃𐤃𐤍 υἱοὶ δὲ Χούς· Σαβᾶ καὶ Εὑιλὰ καὶ Σαβαθὰ κοὶ Ῥεγχμὰ καὶ Σοβακαθά. υἱοὶ δὲ ῬεγΧμά Σαβᾶ καὶ Δαδάν. ⁸ And Cush𐤅𐤊𐤅𐤔 begat𐤉𐤋𐤃 Nimrod:𐤍𐤌𐤓𐤃 he began𐤄𐤇𐤋 to be𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤕 a mighty one𐤂𐤁𐤓 in the earth.𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 Χοὺς δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Νεβρώδ· οὗτος ἤρξατο εἶναι γίγας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. ⁹ He was a mighty𐤂𐤁𐤓 hunter𐤑𐤉𐤃 before𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉 the Lord:𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 wherefore𐤊𐤍 it is said,𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Even as Nimrod𐤊𐤍𐤌𐤓𐤃 the mighty𐤂𐤁𐤅𐤓 hunter𐤑𐤉𐤃 before𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉 the Lord.𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 οὗτος ἦν γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐναντίον Κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ· διό τοῦτο ἐροῦσιν Ὡς Νεβρὼς γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐναντίον Κυρίου. ¹⁰ And the beginning𐤓𐤀𐤔𐤉𐤕 of his kingdom𐤌𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤕𐤅 was Babel,𐤁𐤁𐤋 and Erech,𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤊 and Accad,𐤅𐤀𐤊𐤃 and Calneh,𐤅𐤊𐤋𐤍𐤄 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Shinar.𐤔𐤍𐤏𐤓 καὶ ἐγένετο ἀρχὴ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ Βαβυλὼν Καὶ ὌρεΧ καὶ ἈρΧὰδ καὶ Χαλαννὴ ἐν τῇ γῇ Σενναάρ. ¹¹ Out of that land𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 went forth𐤉𐤑𐤀 Asshur,𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓 and builded𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤍 Nineveh,𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 and the city Rehoboth,𐤓𐤇𐤁𐤕 and Calah,𐤊𐤋𐤇 ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης ἐξῆλθεν Ἀσσούρ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Νινευὴ καὶ τήν Ῥοωβὼς πόλιν καὶ Χάλαχ, ¹² And Resen𐤓𐤎𐤍 between Nineveh𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤄 and Calah:𐤊𐤋𐤇 the same is a great𐤄𐤂𐤃𐤋𐤄 city.𐤄𐤏𐤉𐤓 καὶ τὴν Δάσεμ, ἀνὰ μέσον Νινευὴ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Χάλαχ· αὕτη ἡ πόλις ἡ μεγάλη. ¹³ And Mizraim𐤅𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 begat𐤉𐤋𐤃 Ludim,𐤋𐤅𐤃𐤉𐤌 and Anamim,𐤏𐤍𐤌𐤉𐤌 and Lehabim,𐤋𐤄𐤁𐤉𐤌 and Naphtuhim,𐤍𐤐𐤕𐤇𐤉𐤌 καὶ Μεσράιν ἐγέννησεν τούς Λουδιεὶμ καὶ τοὺς Νεφθολιεὶμ καὶ τοὺς λἰνεμετιεὶμ τοὺς Λιφιεὶμ ¹⁴ And Pathrusim,𐤐𐤕𐤓𐤎𐤉𐤌 and Casluhim,𐤊𐤎𐤋𐤇𐤉𐤌 (out of whom came𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤅 Philistim,)𐤐𐤋𐤔𐤕𐤉𐤌 and Caphtorim.𐤊𐤐𐤕𐤓𐤉𐤌 𐤎 καὶ τοὺς ΙΙατροσωνιεὶμ καὶ τοὺς Χσμωνιείμ, ὅθεν ἐξῆλθεν ἐκεῖθεν Φυλιστιείμ, καὶ τοὺς ΧαΦθοπιείμ. ¹⁵ And Canaan𐤅𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 begat𐤉𐤋𐤃 Sidon𐤑𐤉𐤃𐤍 his firstborn,𐤁𐤊𐤓𐤅 and Heth,𐤇𐤕 Χανάαν δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σιδῶνα πρωτότοκον, καὶ τὸν Χετταῖον ¹⁶ And the Jebusite,𐤄𐤉𐤁𐤅𐤎𐤉 and the Amorite,𐤄𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤉 and the Girgasite,𐤄𐤂𐤓𐤂𐤔𐤉 καὶ τὸν Ἰεβουσαῖον κα τὸν Ἀμορραῖον καὶ τὸν Γερυεσαῖον ¹⁷ And the Hivite,𐤄𐤇𐤅𐤉 and the Arkite,𐤄𐤏𐤓𐤒𐤉 and the Sinite,𐤄𐤎𐤉𐤍𐤉 τὸν Εὑαῖον καὶ τὸν Ἀρουκαιον καὶ τὸν Ἁσενναῖον ¹⁸ And the Arvadite,𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤅𐤃𐤉 and the Zemarite,𐤄𐤑𐤌𐤓𐤉 and the Hamathite:𐤄𐤇𐤌𐤕𐤉 and afterward𐤅𐤀𐤇𐤓 were the families𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤅𐤕 of the Canaanites𐤄𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍𐤉 spread abroad.𐤍𐤐𐤑𐤅 καὶ τὸν Ἀράδιον καὶ τὸν Σαμαραῖον καὶ τὸν Ἁμαθί. καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο διεσπάρησαν αἱ φυλαὶ τῶν Χαναναίων. ¹⁹ And the border𐤂𐤁𐤅𐤋 of the Canaanites𐤄𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍𐤉 was from Sidon,𐤌𐤑𐤉𐤃𐤍 as thou comest𐤁𐤀𐤊𐤄 to Gerar,𐤂𐤓𐤓𐤄 unto Gaza;𐤏𐤆𐤄 as thou goest,𐤁𐤀𐤊𐤄 unto Sodom,𐤎𐤃𐤌𐤄 and Gomorrah,𐤅𐤏𐤌𐤓𐤄 and Admah,𐤅𐤀𐤃𐤌𐤄 and Zeboim,𐤅𐤑𐤁𐤉𐤌 even unto Lasha.𐤋𐤔𐤏 καὶ ἐγένοντο τὰ ὅρια Χαναναίων ἀπὸ Σιδῶνος ἕως ἐλθεῖν εἰς Γέραρα κα Γάζαν, ἕως ἐλθεῖν ἕως Σοδόμων καὶ Γομόρρας, Ἀδαμὰ καὶ Σεβωὶμ ἕως Δασά. ²⁰ These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Ham,𐤇𐤌 after their families,𐤋𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕𐤌 after their tongues,𐤋𐤋𐤔𐤍𐤕𐤌 in their countries,𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤕𐤌 and in their nations.𐤁𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤄𐤌 𐤎 οὗτοι υἱοὶ ἐν ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν, κατὰ γλώσσας αὐτῶν, ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν. ²¹ Unto Shem𐤅𐤋𐤔𐤌 also, the father𐤀𐤁𐤉 of all the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Eber,𐤏𐤁𐤓 the brother𐤀𐤇𐤉 of Japheth𐤉𐤐𐤕 the elder,𐤄𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋 even to him were children born.𐤉𐤋𐤃 Καὶ τῷ Σὴμ ἐγενήθη καὶ αὐτῶ, πατρὶ πόντων τῶν υἱῶν Ἔβερ, ἀδελφῷ ἸάΦεθ τοῦ μείζονος. ²² The children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Shem;𐤔𐤌 Elam,𐤏𐤉𐤋𐤌 and Asshur,𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓 and Arphaxad,𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤐𐤊𐤔𐤃 and Lud,𐤅𐤋𐤅𐤃 and Aram.𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤌 υἱοὶ Σῆμ’. Αἰλὰμ καὶ Ἀσσοὺρ καὶ Ἀρφαξὰδ καὶ Λοὺδ καὶ Ἀράμ. ²³ And the children𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Aram;𐤀𐤓𐤌 Uz,𐤏𐤅𐤑 and Hul,𐤅𐤇𐤅𐤋 and Gether,𐤅𐤂𐤕𐤓 and Mash.𐤅𐤌𐤔 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἀράμ· Ὤς καὶ Οὔλ καὶ Γάθερ καὶ Μόσοχ. ²⁴ And Arphaxad𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤐𐤊𐤔𐤃 begat𐤉𐤋𐤃 Salah;𐤔𐤋𐤇 and Salah𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤇 begat𐤉𐤋𐤃 Eber.𐤏𐤁𐤓 καὶ Ἀρφαξὰδ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καινάμ, καὶ Καινὰμ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σάλα, Σάλα δὲ τὸν Ἔβερ. ²⁵ And unto Eber𐤅𐤋𐤏𐤁𐤓 were born𐤉𐤋𐤃 two𐤔𐤍𐤉 sons:𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 the name𐤔𐤌 of one𐤄𐤀𐤇𐤃 was Peleg;𐤐𐤋𐤂 for in his days𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤅 was the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 divided;𐤍𐤐𐤋𐤂𐤄 and his brother's𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤅 name𐤅𐤔𐤌 was Joktan.𐤉𐤒𐤈𐤍 καὶ τῷ Ἔβερ ἐγεννήθησαν δύο υἱοί· ὄνομα τῷ ἑνὶ Φάλεκ, ὅτι ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτοῦ διεμερίσθη ἡ γῆ, καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ Ἰεκτάν. ²⁶ And Joktan𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤈𐤍 begat𐤉𐤋𐤃 Almodad,𐤀𐤋𐤌𐤅𐤃𐤃 and Sheleph,𐤔𐤋𐤐 and Hazarmaveth,𐤇𐤑𐤓𐤌𐤅𐤕 and Jerah,𐤉𐤓𐤇 Ἰεκτὰν δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἐλμωδὰδ καὶ τὸν Σάλεφ καὶ τὸν Ἁσαρμὼθ καὶ Ἰάραδ ²⁷ And Hadoram,𐤄𐤃𐤅𐤓𐤌 and Uzal,𐤀𐤅𐤆𐤋 and Diklah,𐤃𐤒𐤋𐤄 καὶ Ὀδοππἀ καὶ Αἰζὴλ καὶ Δεκλὰ ²⁸ And Obal,𐤏𐤅𐤁𐤋 and Abimael,𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤀𐤋 and Sheba,𐤔𐤁𐤀 καὶ Ἀβιμεἠλ καὶ Σαβεῦ ²⁹ And Ophir,𐤀𐤅𐤐𐤓 and Havilah,𐤇𐤅𐤉𐤋𐤄 and Jobab:𐤉𐤅𐤁𐤁 all these were the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Joktan.𐤉𐤒𐤈𐤍 καὶ Οὐφεὶρ καὶ Εὔειλά καὶ Ἰωβὄβ. πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἱεκτάν. ³⁰ And their dwelling𐤌𐤅𐤔𐤁𐤌 was from Mesha,𐤌𐤌𐤔𐤀 as thou goest𐤁𐤀𐤊𐤄 unto Sephar𐤎𐤐𐤓𐤄 a mount𐤄𐤓 of the east.𐤄𐤒𐤃𐤌 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ κατοίκησις αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Μασσηὲ ἕως ἐλθεῖν εἰς Σωφήρα, ὄρος ἀνατολῶν. ³¹ These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Shem,𐤔𐤌 after their families,𐤋𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕𐤌 after their tongues,𐤋𐤋𐤔𐤍𐤕𐤌 in their lands,𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤕𐤌 after their nations.𐤋𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤄𐤌 οὗτοι οἱ υἱοὶ Σῆμ’ ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς κατὰ γλώσσας αὐτῶν, ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν. ³² These are the families𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕 of the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Noah,𐤍𐤇 after their generations,𐤋𐤕𐤅𐤋𐤃𐤕𐤌 in their nations:𐤁𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤄𐤌 and by these were the nations𐤄𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤌 divided𐤍𐤐𐤓𐤃𐤅 in the earth𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 after𐤀𐤇𐤓 the flood.𐤄𐤌𐤁𐤅𐤋 𐤐 Αὗται αἱ φυλαὶ υἱῶν Νῶε κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἔθνη αὐτῶν· ἀπὸ τούτων διεσπάρησαν νῆσοι τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμόν.
