Chapter 25 ¹ Then again𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤐 Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇 a wife,𐤀𐤔𐤄 and her name𐤅𐤔𐤌𐤄 was Keturah.𐤒𐤈𐤅𐤓𐤄 Προσθέμενος δὲ Ἀβραὰμ ἔλαβεν γυναῖκα ᾗ ὄνομα Χεττούρα. ² And she bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 him Zimran,𐤆𐤌𐤓𐤍 and Jokshan,𐤉𐤒𐤔𐤍 and Medan,𐤌𐤃𐤍 and Midian,𐤌𐤃𐤉𐤍 and Ishbak,𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤒 and Shuah.𐤔𐤅𐤇 ἔτεκεν δὲ αὐτῷ τὸν Ζεβρὰν καὶ τὸν Ἰεξὰν καὶ τὸν τὸν καὶ τὸν Μαδιάμ καὶ τὸν Ἰεσβὸκ καὶ τὸν Σωύε. ³ And Jokshan𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤔𐤍 begat𐤉𐤋𐤃 Sheba,𐤔𐤁𐤀 and Dedan.𐤃𐤃𐤍 And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Dedan𐤃𐤃𐤍 were Asshurim,𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓𐤌 and Letushim,𐤅𐤋𐤈𐤅𐤔𐤉𐤌 and Leummim.𐤅𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤉𐤌 Ἰεξάν δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαβᾶν καὶ τὸν Θαιμὰν καὶ τὸν Δαιδάν· υἱοὶ δὲ Δαιδὰν ἐγένοντο Ῥαγουὴλ καὶ Ναβδεὴλ καὶ Ἀσουρὶμ καὶ Λατουσιεὶμ καὶ Λοωμείμ· ⁴ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Midian;𐤌𐤃𐤉𐤍 Ephah,𐤏𐤉𐤐𐤄 and Epher,𐤅𐤏𐤐𐤓 and Hanoch,𐤅𐤇𐤍𐤊 and Abida,𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤃𐤏 and Eldaah.𐤅𐤀𐤋𐤃𐤏𐤄 All these were the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Keturah.𐤒𐤈𐤅𐤓𐤄 υἱοὶ δὲ Μαδιὰμ Γεφὰρ καὶ Ἄφερ καὶ Ἑνὼχ καὶ Ἀβιρὰ καὶ Θεργαμά. οὗτοι πάντες ἦσαν υἱοὶ Χεττούρας. ⁵ And Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 gave𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍 all that he had unto Isaac.𐤋𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 ἔδωκεν δὲ Ἀβραὰμ πάντα τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτοῦ Ἰσαὰκ τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ· ⁶ But unto the sons𐤅𐤋𐤁𐤍𐤉 of the concubines,𐤄𐤐𐤉𐤋𐤂𐤔𐤉𐤌 which Abraham𐤋𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 had, Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 gave𐤍𐤕𐤍 gifts,𐤌𐤕𐤍𐤕 and sent them away𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤌 from Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 his son,𐤁𐤍𐤅 while he yet lived,𐤇𐤉 eastward,𐤒𐤃𐤌𐤄 unto the east𐤒𐤃𐤌 country.𐤀𐤓𐤑 καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν παλλακῶν αὐτοῦ ἔδωκεν Ἀβραὰμ δόματα, καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ Ἰσαὰκ τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ ἔτι ζῶντος αὐτοῦ πρὸς ἀνατολὰς εἰς γῆν ἀνατολῶν. ⁷ And these are the days𐤉𐤌𐤉 of the years𐤔𐤍𐤉 of Abraham's𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 life𐤇𐤉𐤉 which he lived, an hundred𐤌𐤀𐤕 𐤔𐤍𐤄 threescore and fifteen𐤅𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 𐤔𐤍𐤄 𐤅𐤇𐤌𐤔 years.𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 ταῦτα δὲ τὰ ἔτη ἡμερῶν ζωῆς Ἀβραὰμ ὅσα ἔζησεν, ἑκατὸν ἑβσομήκοντα πέντε ἔτη· ⁸ Then Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 gave up the ghost,𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤅𐤏 and died𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 in a good𐤈𐤅𐤁𐤄 old age,𐤁𐤔𐤉𐤁𐤄 an old man,𐤆𐤒𐤍 and full𐤅𐤔𐤁𐤏 of years; and was gathered𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤎𐤐 to his people.𐤏𐤌𐤉𐤅 καὶ ἐκλείπων ἀπέθανεν Ἀβραὰμ ἐν γήρει καλῷ πρεσκαὶ πλήρης ἡμερῶν, καὶ προσετέθη πρὸς τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ. ⁹ And his sons𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 and Ishmael𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤀𐤋 buried𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤁𐤓𐤅 him in the cave𐤌𐤏𐤓𐤕 of Machpelah,𐤄𐤌𐤊𐤐𐤋𐤄 in the field𐤔𐤃𐤄 of Ephron𐤏𐤐𐤓𐤍 the son𐤁𐤍 of Zohar𐤑𐤇𐤓 the Hittite,𐤄𐤇𐤕𐤉 which is before𐤐𐤍𐤉 Mamre;𐤌𐤌𐤓𐤀 καὶ ν αὐτὸν Ἰσαὰκ καὶ Ἰσμαὴλ οἱ δύο υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ σπήλαιον τὸ διπλοῦν, εἰς τὸν ἀγρὸν Ἐφρὼν τοῦ Σάαρ τοῦ ετταίου, ὅ ἐστιν ἀπέναντι Μαμβρή, ¹⁰ The field𐤄𐤔𐤃𐤄 which Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 purchased𐤒𐤍𐤄 of the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Heth:𐤇𐤕 there was Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 buried,𐤒𐤁𐤓 and Sarah𐤅𐤔𐤓𐤄 his wife.𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 τὸν ἀγρὸν καὶ τὸ σπήλαιον ὃ ἐκτήσατο Ἀβραὰμ παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Χέτ· ἐκεῖ ἔθαψαν Ἀβραὰμ καὶ Σάρραν τὴν αὐτοῦ. ¹¹ And it came to pass after𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉 the death𐤌𐤅𐤕 of Abraham,𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 that God𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 blessed𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤓𐤊 his son𐤁𐤍𐤅 Isaac;𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 and Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 dwelt𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁 by𐤏𐤌 the well Lahai–roi.𐤁𐤀𐤓 ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ τὸ ἀποθανεῖν Ἀβραὰμ εὐλόγησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Ἰσαὰκ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ· καὶ κατῲκησεν Ἰσαὰκ παρὰ τὸ φρέαρ τῆς ¹² Now these are the generations𐤕𐤋𐤃𐤕 of Ishmael,𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤀𐤋 Abraham's𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 son,𐤁𐤍 whom Hagar𐤄𐤂𐤓 the Egyptian,𐤄𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤕 Sarah's𐤔𐤓𐤄 handmaid,𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕 bare𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤄 unto Abraham:𐤋𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 Αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις Ἰσμαὴλ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ἀβραάμ, ὃν Ἁγὰρ ἡ παιδίσκη Σάρρας τῷ Ἀβραάμ. ¹³ And these are the names𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤕 of the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Ishmael,𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤀𐤋 by their names,𐤁𐤔𐤌𐤕𐤌 according to their generations:𐤋𐤕𐤅𐤋𐤃𐤕𐤌 the firstborn𐤁𐤊𐤓 of Ishmael,𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤀𐤋 Nebajoth;𐤍𐤁𐤉𐤕 and Kedar,𐤅𐤒𐤃𐤓 and Adbeel,𐤅𐤀𐤃𐤁𐤀𐤋 and Mibsam,𐤅𐤌𐤁𐤔𐤌 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα σμαὴλ κατ’ ὄνομα τῶν γενεῶν αὐτοῦ· πρωτότοκος Ἱσμαὴλ Ναβαιώθ, καὶ Κηδὰρ καὶ Ναβδεὴλ καὶ ασσὰμ ¹⁴ And Mishma,𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤌𐤏 and Dumah,𐤅𐤃𐤅𐤌𐤄 and Massa,𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤀 καὶ Μασμὰ καὶ Ἰδουμὰ καὶ Μασσὴ ¹⁵ Hadar, and Tema,𐤅𐤕𐤉𐤌𐤀 Jetur,𐤉𐤈𐤅𐤓 Naphish,𐤍𐤐𐤉𐤔 and Kedemah:𐤅𐤒𐤃𐤌𐤄 καὶ Χοδδὰν καὶ Θαιμὰν καὶ Ἰετοὺρ καὶ Ναφὲς καὶ Κέδμα. ¹⁶ These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Ishmael,𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤀𐤋 and these are their names,𐤔𐤌𐤕𐤌 by their towns,𐤁𐤇𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤄𐤌 and by their castles;𐤅𐤁𐤈𐤉𐤓𐤕𐤌 twelve𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 𐤏𐤔𐤓 princes𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤀𐤌 according to their nations.𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤕𐤌 οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσμαήλ, καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς σκηναῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἐπαύλεσιν αὐτῶν· δώδεκα ἄρχοντες κατὰ ἔθνος αὐτῶν. ¹⁷ And these are the years𐤔𐤍𐤉 of the life𐤇𐤉𐤉 of Ishmael,𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤀𐤋 an hundred𐤌𐤀𐤕 𐤔𐤍𐤄 and thirty𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤉𐤌 𐤔𐤍𐤄 and seven𐤅𐤔𐤁𐤏 years:𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 and he gave up the ghost𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤅𐤏 and died;𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and was gathered𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤎𐤐 unto his people.𐤏𐤌𐤉𐤅 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ἔτη τῆς ζωῆς Ἰσμαήλ, ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἑπτὰ ἔτη· καὶ ἐκλείπων ἀπέθανεν καὶ προσετέθη πρὸς τὸ γένος αὐτοῦ. ¹⁸ And they dwelt𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤊𐤍𐤅 from Havilah𐤌𐤇𐤅𐤉𐤋𐤄 unto Shur,𐤔𐤅𐤓 that is before𐤐𐤍𐤉 Egypt,𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 as thou goest𐤁𐤀𐤊𐤄 toward Assyria:𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤓𐤄 and he died𐤍𐤐𐤋 𐤐 in the presence𐤐𐤍𐤉 of all his brethren.𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤅 κατῴκησεν δὲ ἀπὸ Εὑειλὰτ ἕως Σουήλ, ἥ ἐστιν κατὰ πρόσωπον Αἰγύπτου ἕως ἐλθεῖν πρὸς Ἀσσυρίους· κατὰ πρόσωπον πάντων τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ κατῴκησεν. ¹⁹ And these are the generations𐤕𐤅𐤋𐤃𐤕 of Isaac,𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 Abraham's𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 son:𐤁𐤍 Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 begat𐤄𐤅𐤋𐤉𐤃 Isaac:𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 αὗται αἱ γενέσεις τοῦ υἱοῦ Ἀβραάμ· Ἀβραὰμ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰσαάκ. ²⁰ And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 was forty𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 years𐤔𐤍𐤄 old𐤁𐤍 when he took𐤁𐤒𐤇𐤕𐤅 Rebekah𐤓𐤁𐤒𐤄 to wife,𐤋𐤀𐤔𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Bethuel𐤁𐤕𐤅𐤀𐤋 the Syrian𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤌𐤉 of Padan–aram,𐤌𐤐𐤃𐤍 the sister𐤀𐤇𐤅𐤕 to Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 the Syrian.𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤌𐤉 ἦν δὲ ἐτῶν τεσσεράκοντα ὅτε ἔλαβεν τὴν Ῥεβέκκαν θυγατέρα Βαθουὴλ τοῦ Σύρου ἐκ τῆς Μεσοποταμίας, ἀδελφὴν Λαβὰν τοῦ Σύρου, ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκα. ²¹ And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 intreated𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤕𐤓 the Lord𐤋𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 for𐤋𐤍𐤊𐤇 his wife,𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 because she was barren:𐤏𐤒𐤓𐤄 and the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was intreated𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤕𐤓 of him, and Rebekah𐤓𐤁𐤒𐤄 his wife𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 conceived.𐤅𐤕𐤄𐤓 ἐδεῖτο δὲ Ἰσαὰκ κυρίου περὶ Ῥεβέκκας τῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ, ὅτι στεῖρα ἦν. ἐπήκουσεν δὲ αὐτοῦ ὁ θεός, καὶ ἔλαβεν ἐν γαστρὶ Ῥεβέκκα ἡ αὐτοῦ. ²² And the children𐤄𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 struggled together𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤓𐤑𐤑𐤅 within her;𐤁𐤒𐤓𐤁𐤄 and she said,𐤅𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓 If it be so, why am I thus?𐤆𐤄 And she went to enquire𐤋𐤃𐤓𐤔 of the Lord.𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 ἐσκίρτων δὲ τὰ παιδία ἐν αὐτῇ· εἶπεν δέ Εἰ οὕτως μοι γίνεσθαι, ἵνα τί μοι τοῦτο ; ἐπορεύθη δὲ πυθέσθαι παρὰ Κυρίου. ²³ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto her, Two𐤔𐤍𐤉 nations𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤌 are in thy womb,𐤁𐤁𐤈𐤍𐤊 and two manner𐤅𐤔𐤍𐤉 of people𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤉𐤌 shall be separated𐤉𐤐𐤓𐤃𐤅 from thy bowels;𐤌𐤌𐤏𐤉𐤊 and the one people𐤅𐤋𐤀𐤌 shall be stronger𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤑 than the other people;𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤌 and the elder𐤅𐤓𐤁 shall serve𐤉𐤏𐤁𐤃 the younger.𐤑𐤏𐤉𐤓 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος αὐτῇ Δύο ἔθνη ἐν τῇ γαστρί σού εἰσιν, καὶ δύο λαοὶ ἐκ τῆς κοιλίας σου διασταλήσονται· καὶ λαὸς λαοῦ ὑπερέξει, καὶ ὁ μείζων δουλεύσει τῷ ἐλάσσονι. ²⁴ And when her days𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤄 to be delivered𐤋𐤋𐤃𐤕 were fulfilled,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤅 behold, there were twins𐤕𐤅𐤌𐤌 in her womb.𐤁𐤁𐤈𐤍𐤄 καὶ ἐπληρώθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ τεκεῖν αὐτήν· καὶ τῇδε ἦν δίδυμα τῇ γαστρὶ αὐτῆς. ²⁵ And the first𐤄𐤓𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤍 came out𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤀 red,𐤀𐤃𐤌𐤅𐤍𐤉 all over like an hairy𐤔𐤏𐤓 garment;𐤊𐤀𐤃𐤓𐤕 and they called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤅 his name𐤔𐤌𐤅 Esau.𐤏𐤔𐤅 ἐξῆλθεν δὲ ὁ υἱὸς ὁ πρωτότοκος πυρράκης, ὅ ὡσεὶ δορὰ δασύς· ἐπωνόμασεν δὲ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἡσαύ. ²⁶ And after𐤅𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉 that came𐤉𐤑𐤀 his brother𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤅 out, and his hand𐤅𐤉𐤃𐤅 took hold𐤀𐤇𐤆𐤕 on Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 heel;𐤁𐤏𐤒𐤁 and his name𐤔𐤌𐤅 was called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 Jacob:𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 and Isaac𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 was threescore𐤔𐤔𐤉𐤌 years𐤔𐤍𐤄 old𐤁𐤍 when she bare𐤁𐤋𐤃𐤕 them. καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο ἐξῆλθεν ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἐπειλημμένη τῆς πτέρνης Ἠσαύ· καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰακώβ. Ἰσαὰκ δὲ ἦν ἐτῶν ἑξήκοντα ὅτε ἐγέννησεν αὐτοὺς Ῥεβέκκα. ²⁷ And the boys𐤄𐤍𐤏𐤓𐤉𐤌 grew:𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤃𐤋𐤅 and Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 was a cunning𐤉𐤃𐤏 hunter,𐤑𐤉𐤃 a man𐤀𐤉𐤔 of the field;𐤔𐤃𐤄 and Jacob𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 was a plain𐤕𐤌 man,𐤀𐤉𐤔 dwelling𐤉𐤔𐤁 in tents.𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤌 ηὐξήθησαν δὲ οἱ νεανίσκοι. καὶ ἦν Ἠσαὺ ἄνθρωπος εἰδὼς κυνηγεῖν, ἄγροικος· Ἰακὼβ δὲ ἦν ἄνθρωπος ἄπλαστος, οἰκῶν οἰκίαν. ²⁸ And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 loved𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤄𐤁 Esau,𐤏𐤔𐤅 because he did eat𐤁𐤐𐤉𐤅 of his venison:𐤑𐤉𐤃 but Rebekah𐤅𐤓𐤁𐤒𐤄 loved𐤀𐤄𐤁𐤕 Jacob.𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 ἠγάπησεν δὲ Ἰσαὰκ τὸν Ἠσαύ, ὅτι ἡ θήρα αὐτοῦ βρῶσις αὐτῷ· Ῥεβέκκα δὲ ἠγάπα τὸν Ἰακώβ. ²⁹ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 sod𐤅𐤉𐤆𐤃 pottage:𐤍𐤆𐤉𐤃 and Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 came𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀 from the field,𐤄𐤔𐤃𐤄 and he was faint:𐤏𐤉𐤐 Ἥχηαεν δὲ Ἰακὼβ ἕψεμα· ἦλθεν δὲ Ἠσαὺ ἐκ τοῦ πεδίου ἐκλείπων. ³⁰ And Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 to Jacob,𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 Feed𐤄𐤋𐤏𐤉𐤈𐤍𐤉 me, I pray thee, with𐤌𐤍 that same𐤄𐤀𐤃𐤌 red𐤄𐤀𐤃𐤌 pottage; for I am faint:𐤏𐤉𐤐 therefore was his name𐤔𐤌𐤅 called𐤒𐤓𐤀 Edom.𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 καὶ εἶπεν Ἠσαὺ τῷ Ἰακώβ Γεῦσόν με ἀπὸ τοῦ ἑψέματος τοῦ πυρροῦ τούτου, ὅτι ἐκλείπω ἐγώ· διὰ τοῦτο ἐκλήθη τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἐδώμ. ³¹ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Sell𐤌𐤊𐤓𐤄 me this day𐤊𐤉𐤅𐤌 thy birthright.𐤁𐤊𐤓𐤕𐤊 εἶπεν δὲ Ἰακὼβτῷ Ἠσαύ Ἀπόδου μοι σήμερον τὰ πρωτοτοκεῖά σου ἐμοί. ³² And Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Behold, I am at the point𐤄𐤅𐤋𐤊 to die:𐤋𐤌𐤅𐤕 and what profit shall this birthright𐤁𐤊𐤓𐤄 do to me? εἶπεν δὲ Ἠσαύ Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πορεύομαι τελευτᾷν, καἰ ἵνα τί μοι ταῦτα τὰ πρωτοτοκεῖα ; ³³ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Swear𐤄𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 to me this day;𐤊𐤉𐤅𐤌 and he sware𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤏 unto him: and he sold𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤊𐤓 his birthright𐤁𐤊𐤓𐤕𐤅 unto Jacob.𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ἰακώβ μοι σήμερον. καὶ ὤμοσεν αὐτῷ· ἀπέδοτο δὲ Ἠσαὺ τὰ πρωτοτῷ Ἰακώβ. ³⁴ Then Jacob𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 gave𐤍𐤕𐤍 Esau𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅 bread𐤋𐤇𐤌 and pottage𐤅𐤍𐤆𐤉𐤃 of lentiles;𐤏𐤃𐤔𐤉𐤌 and he did eat𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤊𐤋 and drink,𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤕 and rose up,𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤌 and went his way: thus Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 despised𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤆 his birthright.𐤄𐤁𐤊𐤓𐤄 𐤎 Ἰακὼβ δὲ ἔδωκεν τῷ Ἠσαὺ ἄρτον καὶ ἕψεμα φακοῦ· καὶ ἔφαγεν καὶ ἔπειεν, καὶ ἀναστὰς ᾤχετο· καὶ ἐφαύλισεν Ἠεσὺ τὰ π ρωτοτοκεῖα.
