Chapter 29 ¹ Then Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 went on𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤀 his journey,𐤓𐤂𐤋𐤉𐤅 and came into the land𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤄 of the people𐤁𐤍𐤉 of the east.𐤒𐤃𐤌 Καὶ ἐξάρας Ἰακὼβ τοὺς πόδας ἐπορεύθη εἰς γῆν ἀνατολῶν Λαβὰν τὸν υἱὸν Βαθουὴλ τοῦ Σύρου, ἀδελφὸν δὲ Ῥεβέκκας μητρὸς Ἰακὼβ κοὶ Ἠσαύ. ² And he looked,𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 and behold a well𐤁𐤀𐤓 in the field,𐤁𐤔𐤃𐤄 and, lo, there were three𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤄 flocks𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉 of sheep𐤑𐤀𐤍 lying𐤓𐤁𐤑𐤉𐤌 by it; for out of that well𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 they watered𐤉𐤔𐤒𐤅 the flocks:𐤄𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤌 and a great𐤂𐤃𐤋𐤄 stone𐤅𐤄𐤀𐤁𐤍 was upon the well's𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 mouth.𐤐𐤉 καὶ ὁρᾷ, καὶ ἰδοὺ φρέαρ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ. ἦσαν ἐκεῖ τρία ποίμνια προβάτων ἀναπαυόμενα ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό· ἐκ γὰρ τοῦ φρέατος ἐκείνου ἐπότιζον τὰ ποίμνια· λίθος δὲ ἦν μέγας ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι τοῦ φρέατος. ³ And thither were all the flocks𐤄𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤌 gathered:𐤅𐤍𐤀𐤎𐤐𐤅 and they rolled𐤅𐤂𐤋𐤋𐤅 the stone𐤄𐤀𐤁𐤍 from the well's𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 mouth,𐤐𐤉 and watered𐤅𐤄𐤔𐤒𐤅 the sheep,𐤄𐤑𐤀𐤍 and put𐤅𐤄𐤔𐤉𐤁𐤅 the stone𐤄𐤀𐤁𐤍 again upon the well's𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 mouth𐤐𐤉 in his place.𐤋𐤌𐤒𐤌𐤄 καὶ συνήγοντο ἐκεῖ πάντα τὰ ποίμνια, καὶ ἀπεκύλιον τὸν λίθον ἀπὸ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ φρέατος, καὶ ἐπότιζον τὰ πρόβατα, καὶ ἀπεκαθίστων τὸν λίθον ἐπὶ τὸ στόμα τοῦ φρέατος εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ. ⁴ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto them, My brethren,𐤀𐤇𐤉 whence𐤌𐤀𐤉𐤍 be ye? And they said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 Of Haran𐤌𐤇𐤓𐤍 are we. εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς Ἰακώβ Ἀδελφοί, πόθεν ὑμεῖς; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Ἐκ Χαρράν ἐσμεν. ⁵ And he said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto them, Know𐤄𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕𐤌 ye Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 the son𐤁𐤍 of Nahor?𐤍𐤇𐤅𐤓 And they said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 We know𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤍𐤅 him. εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς Λαβὰν τὸν υἱὸν Ναχώρ; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Γινώσκομεν. ⁶ And he said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto them, Is he well?𐤄𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 And they said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 He is well:𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 and, behold, Rachel𐤓𐤇𐤋 his daughter𐤁𐤕𐤅 cometh𐤁𐤀𐤄 with the sheep.𐤄𐤑𐤀𐤍 εἶπεν δὲ Ὑγιαίνει; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Ὑγιαίνει. ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος καὶ ἡ θυγάτηρ αὐτοῦ ἤρχετο μετὰ τῶν προβάτων τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς· αὐτὴ γὰρ ἔβοσκεν τὰ πρόβατα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς. ⁷ And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Lo,𐤄𐤍 it is yet high𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋 day,𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤌 neither is it time𐤏𐤕 that the cattle𐤄𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄 should be gathered together:𐤄𐤀𐤎𐤐 water𐤄𐤔𐤒𐤅 ye the sheep,𐤄𐤑𐤀𐤍 and go and feed𐤓𐤏𐤅 them. καὶ εἶπεν Ἰακώβ Ἕτι ἐστὶν ἡμέρα πολλή, οὔπω ὥρα συναχθῆναι τὰ κτήνη· ποτίσαντες τὰ πρόβατα ἀπελθόντες βόσκετε. ⁸ And they said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 We cannot,𐤍𐤅𐤊𐤋 until all the flocks𐤄𐤏𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤌 be gathered together,𐤉𐤀𐤎𐤐𐤅 and till they roll𐤅𐤂𐤋𐤋𐤅 the stone𐤄𐤀𐤁𐤍 from the well's𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 mouth;𐤐𐤉 then we water𐤅𐤄𐤔𐤒𐤉𐤍𐤅 the sheep.𐤄𐤑𐤀𐤍 οἱ εἶπαν Οὐ δυνησόμεθα ἕως τοῦ συναχθῆναι πάντας τοὺς ποιμένας, καὶ ἀποκυλίσωσι τὸν λίθον ἀπὸ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ Φρέατος, καὶ ποτιοῦμεν τὰ πρόβατα. ⁹ And while he yet𐤏𐤅𐤃𐤍𐤅 spake𐤌𐤃𐤁𐤓 with them, Rachel𐤅𐤓𐤇𐤋 came𐤁𐤀𐤄 with her father's𐤋𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤄 sheep:𐤄𐤑𐤀𐤍 for she kept them.𐤓𐤏𐤄 ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος αὐτοῖς, καὶ Ῥαχὴλ ἡ θυγάτηρ Λαβὰν ἤρχετο μετὰ τῶν προβάτων τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς· αὐτὴ γὰρ ἔβοσκεν τὰ πρόβατα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς. ¹⁰ And it came to pass, when Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 saw𐤓𐤀𐤄 Rachel𐤓𐤇𐤋 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 his mother's𐤀𐤌𐤅 brother,𐤀𐤇𐤉 and the sheep𐤑𐤀𐤍 of Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 his mother's𐤀𐤌𐤅 brother,𐤀𐤇𐤉 that Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 went near,𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤔 and rolled𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤋 the stone𐤄𐤀𐤁𐤍 from the well's𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 mouth,𐤐𐤉 and watered𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤒 the flock𐤑𐤀𐤍 of Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 his mother's𐤀𐤌𐤅 brother.𐤀𐤇𐤉 ἐγένετο δὲ ὡς ἴδεν Ἰακὼβ τὴν Ῥαχὴλ θυγατέρα Λαβὰν ἀδελφοῦ τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ προσελθὼν Ἰακὼβ ἀπεκύλισεν τὸν λίθον ἀπὸ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ φρέατος, καὶ ἐπότισεν τὰ πρόβατα λαβὰν τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ. ¹¹ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 kissed𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤒 Rachel,𐤋𐤓𐤇𐤋 and lifted up𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤀 his voice,𐤒𐤋𐤅 and wept.𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤊 καὶ ἐφίλησεν Ἰακὼβ τὴν Ραχήλ, καὶ βοήσας τῇ φωνῇ αὐτοῦ ἔκλαυσεν. ¹² And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 told𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤃 Rachel𐤋𐤓𐤇𐤋 that he was her father's𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤄 brother,𐤀𐤇𐤉 and that he was Rebekah's𐤓𐤁𐤒𐤄 son:𐤁𐤍 and she ran𐤅𐤕𐤓𐤑 and told𐤅𐤕𐤂𐤃 her father.𐤋𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤄 καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν τῇ Ῥαχὴλ ὅτι ἀδελφὸς τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς ἐστίν, καὶ ὅτι υἱὸς ’ ἐστίν· καὶ δραμοῦσα ἀπήγγειλεν τῷ πατρὶ αὐτῆς κατὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα. ¹³ And it came to pass, when Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 heard𐤊𐤔𐤌𐤏 the tidings𐤔𐤌𐤏 of Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 his sister's𐤀𐤇𐤕𐤅 son,𐤁𐤍 that he ran𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤑 to meet him, and embraced𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤁𐤒 him, and kissed𐤅𐤉𐤍𐤔𐤒 him, and brought𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤉𐤀𐤄𐤅 him to his house.𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤅 And he told𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤐𐤓 Laban𐤋𐤋𐤁𐤍 all these things.𐤄𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤌 καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν Λαβὰν τὸ ὄνομα Ἰακὼβ τοῦ υἱοῦ τῆς ἀδελφῆς αὐτοῦ, ἔδραμεν εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτοῦ, καὶ περιλαβὼν αὐτὸν ἐφίλησεν, καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ· καὶ διηγήσατο τῷ Λαβὰν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους. ¹⁴ And Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 to him, Surely𐤀𐤊 thou art my bone𐤏𐤑𐤌𐤉 and my flesh.𐤅𐤁𐤔𐤓𐤉 And he abode𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁 with him the space𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 of a month.𐤇𐤃𐤔 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῶ Λαβάν Εκ τῶν ὀστῶν μου καὶ ἐκ τῆς σαρκός μου εἰ σύ· καὶ ἦν μετ’ αὐτοῦ μῆνα ἡμερῶν. ¹⁵ And Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto Jacob,𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 Because thou art my brother,𐤀𐤇𐤉 shouldest thou therefore serve𐤅𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤕𐤍𐤉 me for nought?𐤇𐤍𐤌 tell𐤄𐤂𐤉𐤃𐤄 me, what shall thy wages𐤌𐤔𐤊𐤓𐤕𐤊 be? εἶπεν δὲ Λαβὰν τῷ Ἰακώβ ὅτι γὰρ ἀδελφός μου εἶ, οὐ δουλεύσεις μοι δωρεάν· ἀπάγγειλόν μοι τίς ὁ μισθός σού ἐστιν. ¹⁶ And Laban𐤅𐤋𐤋𐤁𐤍 had two𐤔𐤕𐤉 daughters:𐤁𐤍𐤅𐤕 the name𐤔𐤌 of the elder𐤄𐤂𐤃𐤋𐤄 was Leah,𐤋𐤀𐤄 and the name𐤅𐤔𐤌 of the younger𐤄𐤒𐤈𐤍𐤄 was Rachel.𐤓𐤇𐤋 τῷ δὲ Λαβὰν ἦσαν δύο θυγατέρες· ὄνομα τῇ μείζονι λεία, καὶ ὄνομα τῇ νεωτέρᾳ Ῥαχήλ. ¹⁷ Leah𐤋𐤀𐤄 was tender𐤓𐤊𐤅𐤕 eyed;𐤅𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉 but Rachel𐤅𐤓𐤇𐤋 was beautiful𐤉𐤐𐤕 𐤕𐤀𐤓 and well𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤕 favoured.𐤌𐤓𐤀𐤄 οἱ δὲ ὀφθαλμοὶ Λείας ἀσθενεῖς· Ῥαχὴλ δὲ ἦν καλὴ τῷ εἴδει καὶ ὡραία τῇ ὄψει. ¹⁸ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 loved𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤄𐤁 Rachel;𐤓𐤇𐤋 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I will serve𐤀𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤊 thee seven𐤔𐤁𐤏 years𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 for Rachel𐤁𐤓𐤇𐤋 thy younger𐤄𐤒𐤈𐤍𐤄 daughter.𐤁𐤕𐤊 ἠγάπησεν δὲ Ἰακὼβ τὴν Ῥαχήλ, κα εἶπεν Δουλεύσω σοι ἑπτὰ ἔτη περὶ Ῥαχὴλ τῆς θυγατρός σου τῆς Ῥαχήλ, νεωτέρας. ¹⁹ And Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 It is better𐤈𐤅𐤁 that I give𐤕𐤕𐤉 her to thee, than that I should give𐤌𐤕𐤕𐤉 her to another𐤀𐤇𐤓 man:𐤋𐤀𐤉𐤔 abide𐤔𐤁𐤄 with me. εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Λαβάν βέλτιον δοῦναί με αὐτὴν σοὶ ἢ δοῦναί με αὐτὴν ἀνδρὶ ἑτέρῳ· οἴκησον μετ’ ἐμοῦ. ²⁰ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 served𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤁𐤃 seven𐤔𐤁𐤏 years𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 for Rachel;𐤁𐤓𐤇𐤋 and they seemed𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤅 unto him but a few𐤀𐤇𐤃𐤉𐤌 days,𐤊𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 for the love he had𐤁𐤀𐤄𐤁𐤕𐤅 to her. καὶ ἐδούλευσεν Ἰακὼβ περὶ Ῥαχὴλ ἑπτὰ ἣ. ²¹ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto Laban,𐤋𐤁𐤍 Give𐤄𐤁𐤄 me my wife,𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤉 for my days𐤉𐤌𐤉 are fulfilled,𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤅 that I may go in𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤅𐤀𐤄 unto her. εἶπεν δὲ Ἰακὼβ τῷ Λαβάν Ἀπόδος μοι τὴν γυναῖκά μου· πεπλήρωνται γὰρ αἱ ἡμέραι μου ὅπως εἰσέλθω πρὸς αὐτήν. ²² And Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 gathered together𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤎𐤐 all the men𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉 of the place,𐤄𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌 and made𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤔 a feast.𐤌𐤔𐤕𐤄 συνήγαγεν δὲ λαβὰν πάντας τοὺς ἄνδρας τοῦ τόπου καὶ ἐποίησεν γάμον. ²³ And it came to pass in the evening,𐤁𐤏𐤓𐤁 that he took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇 Leah𐤋𐤀𐤄 his daughter,𐤁𐤕𐤅 and brought𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀 her to him; and he went in𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀 unto her. καὶ ἐγένετο ἑσπέρα· καὶ λαβὼν Λείαν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς Ἰακώβ, καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς αὐτὴν Ἰακώβ. ²⁴ And Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 gave𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍 unto his daughter𐤁𐤕𐤅 Leah𐤋𐤋𐤀𐤄 Zilpah𐤆𐤋𐤐𐤄 his maid𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕𐤅 for an handmaid.𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤄 ἔδωκεν δὲ Λαβὰν Ζέλφαν Λείᾳ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ τὴν παιδίσκην αὐτοῦ αὐτῇ παιδίσκην. ²⁵ And it came to pass, that in the morning,𐤁𐤁𐤒𐤓 behold, it was Leah:𐤋𐤀𐤄 and he said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 to Laban,𐤋𐤁𐤍 What is this thou hast done𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕 unto me? did not I serve𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤕𐤉 with thee for Rachel?𐤁𐤓𐤇𐤋 wherefore then hast thou beguiled𐤓𐤌𐤉𐤕𐤍𐤉 me? ἐγένετο δὲ πρωί, καὶ ἰδοὺ εἶπεν δὲ Ἰακὼβ λαβάν Τί τοῦτο ἐποίησάς μοι; οὐ περὶ Ῥαχὴλ ἐδούλευσα σοί; καὶ ἴνα τί παρελογίσω με; ²⁶ And Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 It must not be so done𐤉𐤏𐤔𐤄 in our country,𐤁𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌𐤍𐤅 to give𐤋𐤕𐤕 the younger𐤄𐤑𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤄 before𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉 the firstborn.𐤄𐤁𐤊𐤉𐤓𐤄 εἶπεν δὲ Λαβάν οὐκ οὕτως ἐν τῷ τόπῳ ἡμῶν, δοῦναι τὴν νεωτέραν πρὶν ἢ τὴν πρεσβυτέραν· ²⁷ Fulfil𐤌𐤋𐤀 her𐤆𐤀𐤕 week,𐤔𐤁𐤏 and we will give𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤍𐤄 thee this also for the service𐤁𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤄 which thou shalt serve𐤕𐤏𐤁𐤃 with me yet seven𐤔𐤁𐤏 other𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤅𐤕 years.𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 συντέλεσον οὖν τὰ ἕβδομα ταύτης, καὶ δώσω σοι καὶ ταύτην ἀντὶ τῆς ἐργασίας ἧς ἐργᾷ παρ’ ἐμοὶ ἔτι ἑπτὰ ἕτη ἕτερα. ²⁸ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 did𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤔 so, and fulfilled𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤀 her week:𐤔𐤁𐤏 and he gave𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍 him Rachel𐤓𐤇𐤋 his daughter𐤁𐤕𐤅 to wife𐤋𐤀𐤔𐤄 also. ἐποίησεν δὲ Ἰακὼβ οὕτως, καὶ ἀνεπλήρωσεν τὰ ἕβδομα ταύτης· καὶ ἔδωκεν Λαβὰν Ῥαχἠλ τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ αὐτῷ γυναῖκα. ²⁹ And Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 gave𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍 to Rachel𐤋𐤓𐤇𐤋 his daughter𐤁𐤕𐤅 Bilhah𐤁𐤋𐤄𐤄 his handmaid𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕𐤅 to be her maid.𐤋𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤄 ἔδωκεν δὲ Λαβὰν Ῥαχὴλ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ Βάλλαν τὴν παιδίσκην αὐτοῦ αὐτῇ παιδίσκην. ³⁰ And he went in𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀 also unto Rachel,𐤓𐤇𐤋 and he loved𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤄𐤁 also Rachel𐤓𐤇𐤋 more than Leah,𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤄 and served𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤁𐤃 with him yet seven𐤔𐤁𐤏 other𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤅𐤕 years.𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς Ραχήλ· ἠγάπησεν δὲ Ῥαχὴλ μᾶλλον ἢ Λείαν· ἐδούλευσεν αὐτῷ ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἕτε ῥα. ³¹ And when the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 saw𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 that Leah𐤋𐤀𐤄 was hated,𐤔𐤍𐤅𐤀𐤄 he opened𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤕𐤇 her womb:𐤓𐤇𐤌𐤄 but Rachel𐤅𐤓𐤇𐤋 was barren.𐤏𐤒𐤓𐤄 Ἰδὼν δὲ κύριος ὁ θεὸς μισεῖται Λεία, ἤνοιξεν τὴν μήτραν αὐτῆς· Ῥαχὴλ δὲ ἦν στεῖρα. ³² And Leah𐤋𐤀𐤄 conceived,𐤅𐤕𐤄𐤓 and bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 a son,𐤁𐤍 and she called𐤅𐤕𐤒𐤓𐤀 his name𐤔𐤌𐤅 Reuben:𐤓𐤀𐤅𐤁𐤍 for𐤊𐤉 she said,𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤄 Surely𐤊𐤉 the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 hath looked𐤓𐤀𐤄 upon my affliction;𐤁𐤏𐤍𐤉𐤉 now therefore𐤊𐤉 my husband𐤀𐤉𐤔𐤉 will love𐤉𐤀𐤄𐤁𐤍𐤉 me. καὶ συνέλαβεν Λεία καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱὸν τῷ Ἰακώβ· ἐκάλεσεν δὲ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ῥουβὴν λέγουσα Διότι εἶδέν μου κύριος τὴν ταπείνωσιν· νῦν ἀγαπήσει με ὁ ἀνήρ μου. ³³ And she conceived𐤅𐤕𐤄𐤓 again, and bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 a son;𐤁𐤍 and said,𐤅𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓 Because the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 hath heard𐤔𐤌𐤏 that I was hated,𐤔𐤍𐤅𐤀𐤄 he hath therefore given𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍 me this son also: and she called𐤅𐤕𐤒𐤓𐤀 his name𐤔𐤌𐤅 Simeon.𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤍 καὶ συνέλαβεν πάλιν Λεία καὶ ἔτεκεν τῷ Ἰακώβ, καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι Ἤκουσεν κύριος ὅτι μισοῦμαι, καὶ ἐν μοι καὶ τοῦτον· καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Συμεών. ³⁴ And she conceived again,𐤅𐤕𐤄𐤓 and bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 a son;𐤁𐤍 and said,𐤅𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓 Now this time𐤄𐤐𐤏𐤌 will my husband𐤀𐤉𐤔𐤉 be joined𐤉𐤋𐤅𐤄 unto me, because I have born𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤕𐤉 him three𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤄 sons:𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌 therefore was his name𐤔𐤌𐤅 called𐤒𐤓𐤀 Levi.𐤋𐤅𐤉 καὶ συνέλαβεν ἔτι καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱόν, καὶ εἶπεν Ἐν τῷ νῦν καιρῷ πρὸς ἐμοῦ ἔσται ὁ ἀνήρ μου, τέτοκα γὰρ αὐτῷ τρεῖς υἱούς· διὰ τοῦτο ἐκλήθη τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Λευί. ³⁵ And she conceived𐤅𐤕𐤄𐤓 again, and bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 a son:𐤁𐤍 and she said,𐤅𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓 Now𐤄𐤐𐤏𐤌 will I praise𐤀𐤅𐤃𐤄 the Lord:𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 therefore she called𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤄 his name𐤔𐤌𐤅 Judah;𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 and left𐤅𐤕𐤏𐤌𐤃 bearing.𐤌𐤋𐤃𐤕 καὶ συλλαβοῦσα ἔτι ἔτεκεν υἱόν, εἶπεν Νῦν ἔτι τοῦτο ἐξομολογήσομαι κυρίῳ· διὰ τοῦτο ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰουδά. καὶ ἔστη τοῦ τίκτειν.
