Chapter 7 ¹ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto Noah,𐤋𐤍𐤇 Come𐤁𐤀 thou and all thy house𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤊 into the ark;𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤄 for thee have I seen𐤓𐤀𐤉𐤕𐤉 righteous𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒 before me𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉 in this𐤄𐤆𐤄 generation.𐤁𐤃𐤅𐤓 Καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Νῶε εἴσελθε σὺ καὶ πᾶς ὁ οἰκός σου εἲς τὴν κιβωτόν, ὅτι σὲ ἴδον δίκαιον ἐναντίον μου ἐν τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ. ² Of every clean𐤄𐤈𐤄𐤅𐤓𐤄 beast𐤄𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 thou shalt take𐤕𐤒𐤇 to thee by sevens,𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 the male𐤀𐤉𐤔 and his female:𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 and of beasts𐤄𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 that are not clean𐤈𐤄𐤓𐤄 𐤄𐤅𐤀 by two,𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 the male𐤀𐤉𐤔 and his female.𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν εἰσάγαγε πρὸς σὲ ἑπτὰ ἑπτὰ ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν μὴ καθαρῶν δύο δύο ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ· ³ Of fowls𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤐 also of the air𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 by sevens,𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 the male𐤆𐤊𐤓 and the female;𐤅𐤍𐤒𐤁𐤄 to keep𐤋𐤇𐤉𐤅𐤕 seed𐤆𐤓𐤏 alive upon the face𐤐𐤍𐤉 of all the earth.𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῶν καθαρῶν ἑπτὰ ἑπτὰ ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν μὴ καθαρῶν δύο δύο ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, διαθρέψαι σπέρμα ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν. ⁴ For yet𐤏𐤅𐤃 seven𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 days,𐤋𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 and I will cause it to rain𐤌𐤌𐤈𐤉𐤓 upon the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 forty𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 days𐤉𐤅𐤌 and forty𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 nights;𐤋𐤉𐤋𐤄 and every𐤊𐤋 living substance𐤄𐤉𐤒𐤅𐤌 that I have made𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕𐤉 will I destroy𐤅𐤌𐤇𐤉𐤕𐤉 from off𐤏𐤋 the face𐤐𐤍𐤉 of the earth.𐤄𐤀𐤃𐤌𐤄 ἔτι γὰρ ἡμερῶν ἑπτὰ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ὑετὸν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσεράκοντα καὶ ἐξαλείψω πᾶν τὸ ἀνάστεμα ὃ ἐποίησα ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς. ⁵ And Noah𐤍𐤇 did𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤔 according unto all that the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 commanded𐤑𐤅𐤄𐤅 him. καὶ ἐποίησεν Νῶε πάντα ὅσα ἐνετίλατο αὐτῷ κύριος ὁ θεός. ⁶ And Noah𐤅𐤍𐤇 was six𐤔𐤔 hundred𐤌𐤀𐤅𐤕 years𐤔𐤍𐤄 old𐤁𐤍 when the flood𐤅𐤄𐤌𐤁𐤅𐤋 of waters𐤌𐤉𐤌 was upon the earth.𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 Νῶε δὲ ἦν ἐτῶν ἑξακοσίων καὶ ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. ⁷ And Noah𐤍𐤇 went in,𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀 and his sons,𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 and his wife,𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 and his sons'𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 wives𐤅𐤍𐤔𐤉 with him, into the ark,𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤄 because of𐤌𐤐𐤍𐤉 the waters𐤌𐤉 of the flood.𐤄𐤌𐤁𐤅𐤋 εἰσῆλθεν δὲ Νῶε καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν κιβωτὸν διὰ τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ. ⁸ Of clean𐤄𐤈𐤄𐤅𐤓𐤄 beasts,𐤄𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 and of beasts𐤄𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 that are not clean,𐤈𐤄𐤓𐤄 and of fowls,𐤄𐤏𐤅𐤐 and of every thing that creepeth𐤓𐤌𐤔 upon the earth,𐤄𐤀𐤃𐤌𐤄 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν μὴ καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάν τῶν τῶν ἑρπετῶν τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ⁹ There went in𐤁𐤀𐤅 two𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 and two𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 unto Noah𐤍𐤇 into the ark,𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤄 the male𐤆𐤊𐤓 and the female,𐤅𐤍𐤒𐤁𐤄 as𐤊𐤀𐤔𐤓 God𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 had commanded𐤑𐤅𐤄 Noah.𐤍𐤇 δύο δύο εἰσῆλθον πρὸς Νῶε εἰς κιβωτόν, ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ ὁ θεός. ¹⁰ And it came to pass after seven𐤋𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤕 days,𐤄𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 that the waters𐤅𐤌𐤉 of the flood𐤄𐤌𐤁𐤅𐤋 were upon the earth.𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 Καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὰς ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. ¹¹ In𐤁𐤔𐤍𐤕 the six𐤔𐤔 hundredth𐤌𐤀𐤅𐤕 year𐤔𐤍𐤄 of Noah's𐤍𐤇 life,𐤋𐤇𐤉𐤉 in the second𐤄𐤔𐤍𐤉 month,𐤁𐤇𐤃𐤔 the seventeenth𐤁𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 𐤏𐤔𐤓 day𐤉𐤅𐤌 of the month,𐤋𐤇𐤃𐤔 the same𐤄𐤆𐤄 day𐤁𐤉𐤅𐤌 were all the fountains𐤌𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤕 of the great𐤓𐤁𐤄 deep𐤕𐤄𐤅𐤌 broken up,𐤍𐤁𐤒𐤏𐤅 and the windows𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤕 of heaven𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 were opened.𐤍𐤐𐤕𐤇𐤅 ἐν τῷ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νῶε τοῦ μηνός, ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός, τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ ἐρράγησαν πᾶσαι αἱ πηγαὶ τῆς ἀβύσσου, καὶ οἱ καταράκται τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ¹² And the rain𐤄𐤂𐤔𐤌 was upon the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 forty𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 days𐤉𐤅𐤌 and forty𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 nights.𐤋𐤉𐤋𐤄 καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ὑετὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας κοντα νύκτας. ¹³ In the selfsame𐤁𐤏𐤑𐤌 day𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤌 entered𐤁𐤀 Noah,𐤍𐤇 and Shem,𐤅𐤔𐤌 and Ham,𐤅𐤇𐤌 and Japheth,𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤕 the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Noah,𐤍𐤇 and Noah's𐤍𐤇 wife,𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤕 and the three𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤕 wives𐤍𐤔𐤉 of his sons𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 with them, into the ark;𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤄 Ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ εἰσῆλθεν Νῶε, Σήμ, ἸάΦεθ, υἱοὶ Νῶε, καὶ ἡ γυνὴ Νῶε καὶ αἱ τρεῖς γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν. ¹⁴ They,𐤄𐤌𐤄 and every beast𐤄𐤇𐤉𐤄 after his kind,𐤋𐤌𐤉𐤍𐤄 and all the cattle𐤄𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 after their kind,𐤋𐤌𐤉𐤍𐤄 and every creeping thing𐤄𐤓𐤌𐤔 that creepeth𐤄𐤓𐤌𐤔 upon the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 after his kind,𐤋𐤌𐤉𐤍𐤄𐤅 and every fowl𐤄𐤏𐤅𐤐 after his kind,𐤋𐤌𐤉𐤍𐤄𐤅 every bird𐤑𐤐𐤅𐤓 of every sort.𐤊𐤍𐤐 καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία κατὰ γένος καὶ τὰ κτήνη κατὰ γένος καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς κατὰ γένος καὶ πᾶν πετεινὸν κατὰ γένος ¹⁵ And they went in𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀𐤅 unto Noah𐤍𐤇 into the ark,𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤄 two𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 and two𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 of all flesh,𐤄𐤁𐤔𐤓 wherein𐤀𐤔𐤓 is the breath𐤓𐤅𐤇 of life.𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌 εἰσῆλθον πρὸς Νῶε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, δύο ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκὸς ἐν ᾧ ἐστὶν πνεῦμα ζωῆς. ¹⁶ And they that went in,𐤅𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤉𐤌 went in𐤁𐤀𐤅 male𐤆𐤊𐤓 and female𐤅𐤍𐤒𐤁𐤄 of all flesh,𐤁𐤔𐤓 as God𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 had commanded𐤑𐤅𐤄 him: and the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 shut him in.𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤂𐤓 καὶ τὰ εἰσπορευόμενα ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκὸς εἰσῆλθεν, καθὸ ἐνετείλατο ὁ θεὸς τῶ Νῶε· καὶ ἔκλεισεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὴν κιβωτὸν ἔξωθεν αὐτοῦ. ¹⁷ And the flood𐤄𐤌𐤁𐤅𐤋 was forty𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 days𐤉𐤅𐤌 upon the earth;𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 and the waters𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 increased,𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤁𐤅 and bare up𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤀𐤅 the ark,𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤄 and it was lift up𐤅𐤕𐤓𐤌 above the earth.𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 Καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσεράκοντα νύκτας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς· καὶ ἐπληθύνθη τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπῆρεν τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ὑψώθη ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς. ¹⁸ And the waters𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 prevailed,𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤁𐤓𐤅 and were increased𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤁𐤅 greatly𐤌𐤀𐤃 upon the earth;𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 and the ark𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤄 went upon the face𐤐𐤍𐤉 of the waters.𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 καὶ ἐπεκράτει τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπληθύνετο σφόδρα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς· καὶ ἐπεφέρετο ἡ κιβωτὸς ἐπάνω τοῦ ὕδατος. ¹⁹ And the waters𐤅𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 prevailed𐤂𐤁𐤓𐤅 exceedingly𐤌𐤀𐤃 𐤌𐤀𐤃 upon the earth;𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 and all the high𐤄𐤂𐤁𐤄𐤉𐤌 hills,𐤄𐤄𐤓𐤉𐤌 that were under𐤕𐤇𐤕 the whole heaven,𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 were covered.𐤅𐤉𐤊𐤎𐤅 τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ ἐπεκράτει σφόδρα σφοδρῶς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐπεκάλυψεν πάντα τὰ ὄρη τὰ ὑψηλὰ ἃ ἦν ὑποκάτω τοῦ οὐρανοῦ. ²⁰ Fifteen𐤇𐤌𐤔 𐤏𐤔𐤓𐤄 cubits𐤀𐤌𐤄 upward𐤌𐤋𐤌𐤏𐤋𐤄 did the waters𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 prevail;𐤂𐤁𐤓𐤅 and the mountains𐤄𐤄𐤓𐤉𐤌 were covered.𐤅𐤉𐤊𐤎𐤅 δέκα πέντε πήχεις ἐπάνω ὑψώθη τὸ ὕδωρ, καὶ ἐπεκάλυψεν πάντα τὰ ὄρη τὰ ὑψηλά. ²¹ And all flesh𐤁𐤔𐤓 died𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤅𐤏 that moved𐤄𐤓𐤌𐤔 upon the earth,𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 both of fowl,𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤐 and of cattle,𐤅𐤁𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 and of beast,𐤅𐤁𐤇𐤉𐤄 and of every creeping thing𐤄𐤔𐤓𐤑 that creepeth𐤄𐤔𐤓𐤑 upon the earth,𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 and every man:𐤄𐤀𐤃𐤌 καὶ ἀπέθανεν πᾶσα σὰρξ κινουμένη ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ τῶν κτηνῶν καὶ τῶν θηρίων, καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ πᾶς ἄνθρωπος· ²² All in whose nostrils𐤁𐤀𐤐𐤉𐤅 was the breath𐤍𐤔𐤌𐤕 𐤓𐤅𐤇 of life,𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌 of all that was in the dry𐤁𐤇𐤓𐤁𐤄 land, died.𐤌𐤕𐤅 καὶ πάντα ὅσα ὦι πνοὴν ζωῆς καὶ πᾶς ὃς ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς ξηρᾶς ἀπέθανεν. ²³ And every living substance𐤄𐤉𐤒𐤅𐤌 was destroyed𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤇 which was upon the face𐤐𐤍𐤉 of the ground,𐤄𐤀𐤃𐤌𐤄 both man,𐤌𐤀𐤃𐤌 and cattle,𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤄 and the creeping things,𐤓𐤌𐤔 and the fowl𐤏𐤅𐤐 of the heaven;𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 and they were destroyed𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤇𐤅 from the earth:𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 and Noah𐤍𐤇 only𐤀𐤊 remained𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤀𐤓 alive, and they that𐤀𐤔𐤓 were with him in the ark.𐤁𐤕𐤁𐤄 καὶ ἐξήλειψεν πᾶν τὸ ἀνάστεμα ὃ ἦν ἐπὶ προσώπου πόσης τῆς γῆς, ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους καὶ ἑρπετῶν καὶ τῶν πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ· καὶ ἐξηλείφθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς. καὶ κατελείφθη μόνος Νῶε καὶ οἱ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ. ²⁴ And the waters𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 prevailed𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤁𐤓𐤅 upon the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 an hundred𐤅𐤌𐤀𐤕 and fifty𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤉𐤌 days.𐤉𐤅𐤌 καὶ ὑψώθη τὸ ὕδωρ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἡμέρας ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα.
