Chapter 34 ¹ And Dinah𐤃𐤉𐤍𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Leah,𐤋𐤀𐤄 which she bare𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤄 unto Jacob,𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 went out𐤅𐤕𐤑𐤀 to see𐤋𐤓𐤀𐤅𐤕 the daughters𐤁𐤁𐤍𐤅𐤕 of the land.𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 Ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Δείνα ἡ θυγάτηρ Λείας, ἣν ἔτεκεν τῷ Ἰακώβ, καταμαθεῖν τὰς θυγατέρας τῶν ἐνχωρίων. ² And when Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 the son𐤁𐤍 of Hamor𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 the Hivite,𐤄𐤇𐤅𐤉 prince𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤀 of the country,𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 saw𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 her, he took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇 her, and lay𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤊𐤁 with her, and defiled her.𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤍𐤄 καὶ ἴδεν αὐτὴν Συχὲμ ὁ υἱὸς Ἐμμὼρ ὁ Χορραῖος, ὁ ἄρχων τῆς γῆς· καὶ λαβὼν αὐτὴν ἐκοιμήθη μετ᾿ αὐτῆς, καὶ ἐταπείνωσεν αὐτήν. ³ And his soul𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤅 clave𐤅𐤕𐤃𐤁𐤒 unto Dinah𐤁𐤃𐤉𐤍𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Jacob,𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 and he loved𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤄𐤁 the damsel,𐤄𐤍𐤏𐤓 and spake𐤅𐤉𐤃𐤁𐤓 kindly𐤋𐤁 unto the damsel.𐤄𐤍𐤏𐤓 καὶ προσέσχεν τῇ ψυχῇ Δείνας τῆς θυγατρὸς Ἰακώβ, καὶ ἠγάγπησεν τὴν παρθένον, καὶ ἐλάλησεν κατὰ τὴν διάνοιαν τῆς παρθένου αὐτῇ. ⁴ And Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 spake𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto his father𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 Hamor,𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 Get𐤒𐤇 me this damsel𐤄𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤄 to wife.𐤋𐤀𐤔𐤄 εἶπεν δὲ Συχὲμ πρὸς Ἐμμὼρ τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ λέγων Λάβε μοι τὴν παιδίσκην ταύτην εἰς γυναῖκα. ⁵ And Jacob𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 heard𐤔𐤌𐤏 that he had defiled𐤈𐤌𐤀 Dinah𐤃𐤉𐤍𐤄 his daughter:𐤁𐤕𐤅 now his sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 were with his cattle𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄𐤅 in the field:𐤁𐤔𐤃𐤄 and Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 held his peace𐤅𐤄𐤇𐤓𐤔 until they were come.𐤁𐤀𐤌 Ἰακὼβ δὲ ἤκουσεν ὅτι ἐμίανεν ὁ υἱὸς Ἐμμὼρ Δείναν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ· οἱ δε υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἦσαν μετὰ τῶν κτηνῶν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῶ πεδίῳ· παρεσιώπησεν δὲ Ἰακὼβ ἕως τοῦ ἐλθεῖν αὐτούς. ⁶ And Hamor𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 the father𐤀𐤁𐤉 of Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 went out𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤀 unto Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 to commune𐤋𐤃𐤁𐤓 with𐤀𐤕𐤅 him. ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Ἐμμὼρ ὁ πατὴρ Συχὲμ πρὸς Ἰακὼβ λαλῆσαι αὐτῷ. ⁷ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 came𐤁𐤀𐤅 out of the field𐤄𐤔𐤃𐤄 when they heard𐤊𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤌 it: and the men𐤄𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 were grieved,𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤏𐤑𐤁𐤅 and they were very𐤌𐤀𐤃 wroth,𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤓 because he had wrought𐤏𐤔𐤄 folly𐤍𐤁𐤋𐤄 in Israel𐤁𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 in lying𐤋𐤔𐤊𐤁 with Jacob's𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 daughter;𐤁𐤕 which thing ought not to be done.𐤉𐤏𐤔𐤄 οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Ἰακὼβ ἦλθον ἐκ τοῦ πεδίου· ὡς δὲ ἤκουσαν, κατενύχθησαν οἱ ἄνδρες, καὶ λυπηρὸν ἦν αὐτοῖς σφόδρα, ὅτι ἄσχημον ἐποίησεν Συχὲμ ἐν Ἰσραήλ, κοιμηθεὶς μετὰ τῆς θυγατρὸς Ἰακώβ· καὶ οὐχ οὕτως ἔσται. ⁸ And Hamor𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 communed𐤅𐤉𐤃𐤁𐤓 with them, saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 The soul𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤅 of my son𐤁𐤍𐤉 Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 longeth𐤇𐤔𐤒𐤄 for your daughter:𐤁𐤁𐤕𐤊𐤌 I pray you give𐤕𐤍𐤅 her him to wife.𐤋𐤀𐤔𐤄 καὶ ἐλάλησεν αὐτοῖς Ἐμμὼρ λέγων Συχὲμ ὁ υἱός μου προείλατο τῇ ψυχῇ τὴν θυγατέρα ὑμῶν· δότε οὖν αὐτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα. ⁹ And make ye marriages𐤅𐤄𐤕𐤇𐤕𐤍𐤅 with us, and give𐤕𐤕𐤍𐤅 your daughters𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤊𐤌 unto us, and take𐤕𐤒𐤇𐤅 our daughters𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤍𐤅 unto you. ἐπιγαμβρεύσατε ἡμῖν. τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμῶν δότε ἡμῖν, καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ἡμῶν λάβετε τοῖς υἱοῖς ὑμῶν. ¹⁰ And ye shall dwell𐤕𐤔𐤁𐤅 with us: and the land𐤅𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 shall be𐤕𐤄𐤉𐤄 before you;𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤊𐤌 dwell𐤔𐤁𐤅 and trade𐤅𐤎𐤇𐤓𐤅𐤄 ye therein, and get you possessions𐤅𐤄𐤀𐤇𐤆𐤅 therein. καὶ ἐν ἡμῖν κατοικεῖτε, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡ γῆ πλατεῖα ἐναντίον ὑμῶν· κατοικεῖτε καὶ ἐμπορεύεσθε ἐπ᾿ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐνκτᾶσθε ἐν αὐτῇ. ¹¹ And Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto her father𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤄 and unto her brethren,𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤄 Let me find𐤀𐤌𐤑𐤀 grace𐤇𐤍 in your eyes,𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤊𐤌 and what ye shall say𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 unto me I will give.𐤀𐤕𐤍 εἶπεν δὲ Συχὲμ πρὸς τὸν πατέρα αὐτῆς καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτῆς Εὕροιμι χάριν ἐναντίον ὑμῶν, καὶ ὃ ἐὰν εἴπητε ἡμῖν δώσομεν. ¹² Ask𐤄𐤓𐤁𐤅 me never so much𐤌𐤀𐤃 dowry𐤌𐤄𐤓 and gift,𐤅𐤌𐤕𐤍 and I will give𐤅𐤀𐤕𐤍𐤄 according as ye shall say𐤕𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 unto me: but give𐤅𐤕𐤍𐤅 me the damsel𐤄𐤍𐤏𐤓 to wife.𐤋𐤀𐤔𐤄 πληθύνατε τὴν φερνὴν σφόδρα, καὶ δώσω καθότι ἂν εἴπητέ μοι, καὶ δώσετέ μοι τὴν παῖδα ταύτην εἰς γυναῖκα. ¹³ And the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 answered𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤍𐤅 Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 and Hamor𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 his father𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 deceitfully,𐤁𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤄 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤅 because he had defiled𐤈𐤌𐤀 Dinah𐤃𐤉𐤍𐤄 their sister:𐤀𐤇𐤕𐤌 ἀπεκρίθησαν δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰακὼβ τῷ Συχὲμ καὶ Ἐμμὼρ τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ μετὰ δόλου, καὶ ἐλάλησαν αὐτοῖς, ὅτι ἐμίαναν Δείναν τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν. ¹⁴ And they said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 unto them, We cannot𐤋𐤀 𐤍𐤅𐤊𐤋 do𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅𐤕 this thing,𐤄𐤃𐤁𐤓 to give𐤋𐤕𐤕 our sister𐤀𐤇𐤕𐤍𐤅 to one𐤋𐤀𐤉𐤔 that is uncircumcised;𐤏𐤓𐤋𐤄 for that were a reproach𐤇𐤓𐤐𐤄 unto us: καὶ εἶπαν αὐτοῖς καὶ Λευὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ Δεῖνας υἱοὶ δὲ Λείας Οὐ δυνησόμεθα ποιῆσαι τοῦτο, δοῦναι τὴν ἀδελφὴν ἡμῶν ἀνθρώπῳ ὃς ὦι ἀκροβυστίαν· ἔστιν γὰρ ὄνειδος ἡμῖν. ¹⁵ But in this𐤁𐤆𐤀𐤕 will we consent𐤍𐤀𐤅𐤕 unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male𐤆𐤊𐤓 of you be circumcised;𐤋𐤄𐤌𐤋 ἐν τούτῳ ὁμοιωθησόμεθα ὑμῖν καὶ κατοικήσωμεν ὑμῖν, ἐὰν γένησθε ὡς ἡμεῖς καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐν τῷ περιτμηθῆναι ὑμῶν πᾶν ἀρσενικόν· ¹⁶ Then will we give𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤍𐤅 our daughters𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤍𐤅 unto you, and we will take𐤍𐤒𐤇 your daughters𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤊𐤌 to us, and we will dwell𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤍𐤅 with you, and we will become one𐤀𐤇𐤃 people.𐤋𐤏𐤌 καὶ δώσομεν τὰς θυγατέρας ἡμῶν ὑμῖν, καὶ ἀπὸ θυγατέρων ὑμῶν λημψόμεθα ἡμῖν γυναῖκας καὶ οἰκήσωμεν παρ’ καὶ ἐσόμεθα ὡς γένος ἕν. ¹⁷ But if ye will not hearken𐤕𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅 unto us, to be circumcised;𐤋𐤄𐤌𐤅𐤋 then will we take𐤅𐤋𐤒𐤇𐤍𐤅 our daughter,𐤁𐤕𐤍𐤅 and we will be gone.𐤅𐤄𐤋𐤊𐤍𐤅 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ εἰσακούσητε ἡμῶν τοῦ περιτέμνεσθαι, λαβόντες τὰς θυγατέρας ἡμῶν ἀπελευσόμεθα. ¹⁸ And their words𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤄𐤌 pleased𐤅𐤉𐤉𐤈𐤁𐤅 𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉 Hamor,𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 and Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 Hamor's𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 son.𐤁𐤍 καὶ ἤρεσαν οἱ λόγοι ἐναντίον Ἐμμὼρ καὶ ἐναντίον Συχὲμ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ἐμμώρ. ¹⁹ And the young man𐤄𐤍𐤏𐤓 deferred𐤀𐤇𐤓 not to do𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅𐤕 the thing,𐤄𐤃𐤁𐤓 because he had delight𐤇𐤐𐤑 in Jacob's𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 daughter:𐤁𐤁𐤕 and he was more honourable𐤍𐤊𐤁𐤃 than all the house𐤁𐤉𐤕 of his father.𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 καὶ οὐκ ἐχρόνισεν ὁ νεανίσκος τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο· ἐνέκειτο γὰρ τῇ θυγατρὶ Ἰακώβ· αὐτὸς δὲ ἦν ἐνδοξότατος πάντων τῶν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ. ²⁰ And Hamor𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 and Shechem𐤅𐤔𐤊𐤌 his son𐤁𐤍𐤅 came𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀 unto the gate𐤔𐤏𐤓 of their city,𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤌 and communed𐤅𐤉𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤅 with the men𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉 of their city,𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤌 saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 ἦλθεν δὲ Ἐμμὼρ καὶ Συχὲμ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ πρὸς πύλην τῆς πόλεως αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐλάλησαν πρὸς τοὺς ἄνδρας τῆς πόλεως αὐτῶν λέγοντες ²¹ These men𐤄𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 are peaceable𐤔𐤋𐤌𐤉𐤌 with𐤀𐤕𐤍𐤅 us; therefore let them dwell𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤅 in the land,𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 and trade𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤇𐤓𐤅 therein; for the land,𐤅𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 behold, it is large𐤓𐤇𐤁𐤕 enough𐤉𐤃𐤉𐤌 for them;𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤄𐤌 let us take𐤍𐤒𐤇 their daughters𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤌 to us for wives,𐤋𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 and let us give𐤍𐤕𐤍 them our daughters.𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤍𐤅 Οἱ ἄνθρωποι οὗτοι εἰρηνικοί εἰσιν· μεθ’ ἡμῶν οἰκείτωσαν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐμπορευέσθωσαν αὐτήν, ἡ δὲ γῆ ἰδοὺ πλατεῖα ἐναντίον αὐτῶν· τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν λημψόμεθα ἡμῖν γυναῖκας, κἀς, καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ἡμῶν δώσομεν αὐτοῖς. ²² Only herein𐤁𐤆𐤀𐤕 will the men𐤄𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 consent𐤉𐤀𐤕𐤅 unto us for to dwell𐤋𐤔𐤁𐤕 with us, to be one𐤀𐤇𐤃 people,𐤋𐤏𐤌 if every male𐤆𐤊𐤓 among us be circumcised,𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤅𐤋 as they are circumcised.𐤍𐤌𐤋𐤉𐤌 μόνον ἐν τούτῳ ὁμοιωθήσονται ἡμῖν οἱ ἄνθρωποι τοῦ κατοικεῖν μεθ’ ἡμῶν ὥστε εἶναι λαὸν ἕνα, ἐν τῷ περιτέμνεσθαι ἡμῶν πᾶν ἀρσενικόν, καθὰ καὶ αὐτοὶ περιτέτμηνται. ²³ Shall not their cattle𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄𐤌 and their substance𐤅𐤒𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤌 and every beast𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤕𐤌 of theirs be ours? only let us consent𐤍𐤀𐤅𐤕𐤄 unto them, and they will dwell𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤅 with us. καὶ τὰ κτήνη αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ὑπάρχοντα καὶ τὰ αὐτῶν οὐχ ἡμῶν ἔσται ; μόνον ἐν τούτῳ ὁμοιωθῶμεν αὐτοῖς, καὶ οἰκήσουσιν μεθ’ ἡμῶν. ²⁴ And unto Hamor𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 and unto Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 his son𐤁𐤍𐤅 hearkened𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅 all that went out𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤉 of the gate𐤔𐤏𐤓 of his city;𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤅 and every male𐤆𐤊𐤓 was circumcised,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤅 all that went out𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤉 of the gate𐤔𐤏𐤓 of his city.𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤅 καὶ εἰσήκουσαν Ἐμμὼρ καὶ Συχὲμ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ πάντες οἱ ἐκπορευόμενοι τὴν πύλην τῆς πόλεως αὐτῶν, καὶ περιετέμοντο τὴν σάρκα τῆς ἀκροβυστίας αὐτῶν πᾶς ἄρσην. ²⁵ And it came to pass on the third𐤄𐤔𐤋𐤉𐤔𐤉 day,𐤁𐤉𐤅𐤌 when they were sore,𐤊𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌 that two𐤔𐤍𐤉 of the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Jacob,𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 Simeon𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤍 and Levi,𐤅𐤋𐤅𐤉 Dinah's𐤃𐤉𐤍𐤄 brethren,𐤀𐤇𐤉 took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇𐤅 each man𐤀𐤉𐤔 his sword,𐤇𐤓𐤁𐤅 and came𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀𐤅 upon the city𐤄𐤏𐤉𐤓 boldly,𐤁𐤈𐤇 and slew𐤅𐤉𐤄𐤓𐤂𐤅 all the males.𐤆𐤊𐤓 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῆ ἡμέρᾳ τῆ τρίτη ὅτε ἦσαν ἐν τῷ πόνῳ, ἔλαβον οἱ δύο υἱοὶ Ἰακὼβ Συμεὼν καὶ Λευί, ἀδελφοὶ Δεῖνας, ἕκαστος τὴν μάχαιραν αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἰσῆλθον εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀσφαλῶς καὶ ἀπέκτειναν πᾶν ²⁶ And they slew𐤄𐤓𐤂𐤅 Hamor𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤓 and Shechem𐤔𐤊𐤌 his son𐤁𐤍𐤅 with the edge𐤋𐤐𐤉 of the sword,𐤇𐤓𐤁 and took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇𐤅 Dinah𐤃𐤉𐤍𐤄 out of Shechem's𐤔𐤊𐤌 house,𐤌𐤁𐤉𐤕 and went out.𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤅 τόν τε Ἐμμὼρ καὶ τὸν Συχὲμ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἀπέκτειναν ἐν στόματι μαχαίρας, καὶ ἔλαβον τὴν Δεινὰ ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ Συχέμ, καὶ ἐξῆλθον. ²⁷ The sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 came𐤁𐤀𐤅 upon the slain,𐤄𐤇𐤋𐤋𐤉𐤌 and spoiled𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤆𐤅 the city,𐤄𐤏𐤉𐤓 because they had defiled𐤈𐤌𐤀𐤅 their sister.𐤀𐤇𐤅𐤕𐤌 οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Ἰακὼβ εἰσῆλθον ἐπὶ τοὺς τραυματίας, καὶ διήρπασαν τὴν πόλιν ἐν ᾗ ἐμίαναν Δείναν τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν· ²⁸ They took𐤋𐤒𐤇𐤅 their sheep,𐤑𐤀𐤍𐤌 and their oxen,𐤁𐤒𐤓𐤌 and their asses,𐤇𐤌𐤓𐤉𐤄𐤌 and that which was in the city,𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤓 and that which was in the field,𐤁𐤔𐤃𐤄 καὶ τὰ πρόβατα αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς βόας αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς ὄνους αὐτῶν, ὅσα τε ἦν ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ ὅσα ἦν ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ, ἔλαβον. ²⁹ And all their wealth,𐤇𐤉𐤋𐤌 and all their little ones,𐤈𐤐𐤌 and their wives𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤄𐤌 took they captive,𐤔𐤁𐤅 and spoiled𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤆𐤅 even all that was in the house.𐤁𐤁𐤉𐤕 καὶ πάντα τὰ σώματα καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν ἀποσκευὴν αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτῶν ἀν’· καὶ διήρπασαν ὅσα τε ἦν ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ ὅσα ἦν ἐν ταῖς οἰκίαις. ³⁰ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 to Simeon𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤍 and Levi,𐤋𐤅𐤉 Ye have troubled𐤏𐤊𐤓𐤕𐤌 me to make me to stink𐤋𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤉𐤔𐤍𐤉 among the inhabitants𐤁𐤉𐤔𐤁 of the land,𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 among the Canaanites𐤁𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍𐤉 and the Perizzites:𐤅𐤁𐤐𐤓𐤆𐤉 and I being few𐤌𐤕𐤉 in number,𐤌𐤎𐤐𐤓 they shall gather themselves together𐤅𐤍𐤀𐤎𐤐𐤅 against me, and slay me;𐤅𐤄𐤊𐤅𐤍𐤉 and I shall be destroyed,𐤅𐤍𐤔𐤌𐤃𐤕𐤉 I and my house.𐤅𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤉 εἶπεν δὲ Ἰακὼβ Συμεὼν καὶ Λευί Μισητόν με πεποιήὥστε πονηρόν με εἶναι τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν τὴν γῆν ἔν τε τοῖς Χαναναίοις καὶ τοῖς Φερεζαίοις· ἐγὼ δὲ ὀλιγοστός εἰμι ἐν ἀριθμῷ, καὶ συναχθέντες ἐπ’ ἐμὲ συγκόψουσίν με, καὶ ἐκτρίβομαι ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ οἶκός μου. ³¹ And they said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 Should he deal𐤉𐤏𐤔𐤄 with our sister𐤀𐤇𐤅𐤕𐤍𐤅 𐤐 as with an harlot?𐤄𐤊𐤆𐤅𐤍𐤄 οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Ἀλλ' ὡσεὶ πόρνῃ χρήσωνται τῇ ἀδελφῇ ἡμῶν ;
