Chapter 36 ¹ Now these are the generations𐤕𐤋𐤃𐤅𐤕 of Esau,𐤏𐤔𐤅 who is Edom.𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 Αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις Ἠσαῦ· αὐτός ἐστιν Ἐδώμ. ² Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 took𐤋𐤒𐤇 his wives𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤅 of the daughters𐤌𐤁𐤍𐤅𐤕 of Canaan;𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 Adah𐤏𐤃𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Elon𐤀𐤉𐤋𐤅𐤍 the Hittite,𐤄𐤇𐤕𐤉 and Aholibamah𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤁𐤌𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Anah𐤏𐤍𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Zibeon𐤑𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤍 the Hivite;𐤄𐤇𐤅𐤉 Ἠσαὺ δὲ ἔλαβεν γυναῖκας ἑαυτῷ ἀπὸ τῶν θυγατέρων τῶν Χαναναίων· τὴν Ἄδα, θυγατέρα Ἐλὼμ τοῦ Χετταίου, καὶ τὴν Ὀλιβεμά, θυγατέρα Ἀνὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ Σεβεγὼν τοῦ Εὑαίου, ³ And Bashemath𐤁𐤔𐤌𐤕 Ishmael's𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤀𐤋 daughter,𐤁𐤕 sister𐤀𐤇𐤅𐤕 of Nebajoth.𐤍𐤁𐤉𐤅𐤕 καὶ τὴν Βασεμμάθ, θυγατέρα Ἰσμαήλ, ἀδελφὴν Ναβαιώθ. ⁴ And Adah𐤏𐤃𐤄 bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 to Esau𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅 Eliphaz;𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤐𐤆 and Bashemath𐤅𐤁𐤔𐤌𐤕 bare𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤄 Reuel;𐤓𐤏𐤅𐤀𐤋 ἔτεκεν δὲ Ἄδα τῷ Ἠσαὺ τὸν Ἐλιφάς, καὶ Βασεμμὰθ ἔτεκεν τὸν Ῥαγουήλ, ⁵ And Aholibamah𐤅𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤁𐤌𐤄 bare𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤄 Jeush, and Jaalam,𐤉𐤏𐤋𐤌 and Korah:𐤒𐤓𐤇 these are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Esau,𐤏𐤔𐤅 which were born𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤅 unto him in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Canaan.𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 καὶ Ὀλιβεμὰ ἔτεκεν τὸν Ἰεοὺς καὶ τὸν Ἰεγλὸμ τὸν Τόρε· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἠσαῦ, οἳ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ ἐν γῆ̣ Χανάαν. ⁶ And Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇 his wives,𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤅 and his sons,𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 and his daughters,𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤅 and all the persons𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤅𐤕 of his house,𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤅 and his cattle,𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄𐤅 and all his beasts,𐤁𐤄𐤌𐤕𐤅 and all his substance,𐤒𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅 which he had got𐤓𐤊𐤔 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Canaan;𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 and went into the country𐤀𐤓𐤑 from the face𐤌𐤐𐤍𐤉 of his brother𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤅 Jacob.𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 ἔλαβεν δὲ Ἠσαὺ τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας καὶ πάντα τὰ σώματα τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ, καὶ πάντα τὰ ὑπάρχοντα καὶ τὰ κτήνη, καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐκτήσατο καὶ ὅσα περιεποιήσατο ἐν γῇ Χανάαν· καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐκ γῆς Χανάαν ἀπὸ προσώπου Ἰακὼβ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ. ἦν γὰρ αὐτῶν τὰ ὑπάρχοντα πολλὰ τοῦ οἰκεῖν ἅμα, καὶ ⁷ For their riches𐤓𐤊𐤅𐤔𐤌 were more𐤓𐤁 than that they might dwell𐤌𐤔𐤁𐤕 together;𐤉𐤇𐤃𐤅 and the land𐤀𐤓𐤑 wherein they were strangers𐤌𐤂𐤅𐤓𐤉𐤄𐤌 could𐤉𐤊𐤋𐤄 not bear𐤋𐤔𐤀𐤕 them because𐤌𐤐𐤍𐤉 of their cattle.𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤉𐤄𐤌 καὶ οὐκ ἐδύνατο ἡ γῆ τῆς παροικήσεως αὐτῶν φέρειν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ πλήθοῦς τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐτῶν. ⁸ Thus dwelt𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁 Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 in mount𐤁𐤄𐤓 Seir:𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤓 Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 is Edom.𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 ᾤκησεν δὲ Ἠσαὺ ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σηείρ· Ἠσαὺ αὐτός ἐστιν Ἐδώμ. ⁹ And these are the generations𐤕𐤋𐤃𐤅𐤕 of Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 the father𐤀𐤁𐤉 of the Edomites𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 in mount𐤁𐤄𐤓 Seir:𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤓 Αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις Ἠσαὺ πατρὸς ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σηείρ. ¹⁰ These are the names𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤕 of Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 sons;𐤁𐤍𐤉 Eliphaz𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤐𐤆 the son𐤁𐤍 of Adah𐤏𐤃𐤄 the wife𐤀𐤔𐤕 of Esau,𐤏𐤔𐤅 Reuel𐤓𐤏𐤅𐤀𐤋 the son𐤁𐤍 of Bashemath𐤁𐤔𐤌𐤕 the wife𐤀𐤔𐤕 of Esau.𐤏𐤔𐤅 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ἠσαύ· Ἐλιφάς, υἱὸς Ἄδα γυναικὸς Ἠσαύ, καὶ Ῥαγουήλ, υἱὸς Βασεμμὰθ γυναικὸς Ἠσαύ. ¹¹ And the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Eliphaz𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤐𐤆 were Teman,𐤕𐤉𐤌𐤍 Omar,𐤀𐤅𐤌𐤓 Zepho,𐤑𐤐𐤅 and Gatam,𐤅𐤂𐤏𐤕𐤌 and Kenaz.𐤅𐤒𐤍𐤆 ἐγένοντο δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἐλιφάς· μάν, Θαιμάν, Ὠμάν, Γοθὸμ καὶ ¹² And Timna𐤅𐤕𐤌𐤍𐤏 was concubine𐤐𐤉𐤋𐤂𐤔 to Eliphaz𐤋𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤐𐤆 Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 son;𐤁𐤍 and she bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 to Eliphaz𐤋𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤐𐤆 Amalek:𐤏𐤌𐤋𐤒 these were the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Adah𐤏𐤃𐤄 Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 wife.𐤀𐤔𐤕 Θαμνὰ δὲ ἦν παλλακὴ πσλλσκὴ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ἠδσύ, καὶ ἔτεκεν τῷ Ἐλιφὰς τὸν Ἀμαλήκ. οὗτοι οἱ υἱοὶ Ἀδὰ γυναικὸς Ησαύ. ¹³ And these are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Reuel;𐤓𐤏𐤅𐤀𐤋 Nahath,𐤍𐤇𐤕 and Zerah,𐤅𐤆𐤓𐤇 Shammah,𐤔𐤌𐤄 and Mizzah:𐤅𐤌𐤆𐤄 these were the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Bashemath𐤁𐤔𐤌𐤕 Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 wife.𐤀𐤔𐤕 οὖτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ῥαγουήλ· Νάχομ, Ζάρε, Σομὲ καὶ Μοζέ. ἦσαν υἱοὶ Μασεμμὰθ γυναικὸς Ἠσαύ. ¹⁴ And these were the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Aholibamah,𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤁𐤌𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Anah𐤏𐤍𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Zibeon,𐤑𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤍 Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 wife:𐤀𐤔𐤕 and she bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 to Esau𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅 Jeush, and Jaalam,𐤉𐤏𐤋𐤌 and Korah.𐤒𐤓𐤇 οὖτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ἐλιβέμας τρὸς Ἀνὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ Σεβεγώβν, γυναικὸς Ἠσαύ. ἔτεκεν δὲ τῷ τῷ Ἠσαὺ τὸν Ἰεὺς καὶ τὸν Ιεγλὸμ καὶ τὸν κόρε. ¹⁵ These were dukes𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉 of the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Esau:𐤏𐤔𐤅 the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Eliphaz𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤐𐤆 the firstborn𐤁𐤊𐤅𐤓 son of Esau;𐤏𐤔𐤅 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Teman,𐤕𐤉𐤌𐤍 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Omar,𐤀𐤅𐤌𐤓 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Zepho,𐤑𐤐𐤅 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Kenaz,𐤒𐤍𐤆 οὖτοι οἱ ἡγεμόνες υἱοῦ υἱοὶ Ἐλιφὰς πρωτοτόκου Ἠσαύ. ἡγεμὼν ἡγεμὼν ἡγεμὼν ’ μῶν Σωφάρ, ἡγεμὼν Κενέζ, ¹⁶ Duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Korah,𐤒𐤓𐤇 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Gatam,𐤂𐤏𐤕𐤌 and duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Amalek:𐤏𐤌𐤋𐤒 these are the dukes𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉 that came of Eliphaz𐤀𐤋𐤉𐤐𐤆 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Edom;𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 these were the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Adah.𐤏𐤃𐤄 ἡγεμὼν Τόρε, Ἀμαλήκ· οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Ἐλιφὰς ἐν γῇ Ἰδουμαίᾳ, οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἄδας. ¹⁷ And these are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Reuel𐤓𐤏𐤅𐤀𐤋 Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 son;𐤁𐤍 of Aholibamah𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤁𐤌𐤄 Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 wife;𐤀𐤔𐤕 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Jeush,𐤉𐤏𐤅𐤔 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Jaalam,𐤉𐤏𐤋𐤌 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Korah:𐤒𐤓𐤇 these were the dukes𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉 that came of Aholibamah𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤁𐤌𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Anah,𐤏𐤍𐤄 Esau's𐤏𐤔𐤅 wife.𐤀𐤔𐤕 οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ὀλιβέμας κὸς Ἠσαύ. ἡγεμὼν Ἰεούλ, ἡγεμὼν Ἰεγλόμ, ἡγεμὼν κόρε· οὗτοι ἦγε. μόνες Ἐλιβέμας. ¹⁹ These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Esau,𐤏𐤔𐤅 who is Edom,𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 𐤎 and these are their dukes.𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉𐤄𐤌 οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ἠσαύ, καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἡγεμόνες οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἡγεμόνες αὐτῶν, υἱοὶ Ἐδώμ. ²⁰ These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Seir𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤓 the Horite,𐤄𐤇𐤓𐤉 who inhabited𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤉 the land;𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 Lotan,𐤋𐤅𐤈𐤍 and Shobal,𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤁𐤋 and Zibeon,𐤅𐤑𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤍 and Anah,𐤅𐤏𐤍𐤄 Οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ τοῦ Χορραίου τοῦ κατοικοῦντος τὴν γῆν· Λωτάν, Σωβάλ, Σεβεγών, Ἀνὰ ²¹ And Dishon,𐤅𐤃𐤔𐤅𐤍 and Ezer,𐤅𐤀𐤑𐤓 and Dishan:𐤅𐤃𐤉𐤔𐤍 these are the dukes𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉 of the Horites,𐤄𐤇𐤓𐤉 the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Seir𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤓 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Edom.𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 καὶ Δήσων καὶ Σάαρ καὶ εισών. οὗτοι οἱ ἡγεμόνες τοῦ τοῦ υἱοῦ Σηεὶρ ἐν τῇ γῆ Ἐδώμ. ²² And the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Lotan𐤋𐤅𐤈𐤍 were Hori𐤇𐤓𐤉 and Hemam;𐤅𐤄𐤉𐤌𐤌 and Lotan's𐤋𐤅𐤈𐤍 sister𐤅𐤀𐤇𐤅𐤕 was Timna.𐤕𐤌𐤍𐤏 ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Λωτὰν Χορρεὶ Αἱμάν· ἀδελφὴ δὲ Λωτὰν θαμνά. ²³ And the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Shobal𐤔𐤅𐤁𐤋 were these; Alvan,𐤏𐤋𐤅𐤍 and Manahath,𐤅𐤌𐤍𐤇𐤕 and Ebal,𐤅𐤏𐤉𐤁𐤋 Shepho,𐤔𐤐𐤅 and Onam.𐤅𐤀𐤅𐤍𐤌 οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Σωβάλ· Γωλὼν ΜαννάΧαθ καὶ Γαιβήλ, Σὼφ καὶ Ωμάν. ²⁴ And these are the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Zibeon;𐤑𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤍 both Ajah,𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤄 and Anah:𐤅𐤏𐤍𐤄 this was that Anah𐤏𐤍𐤄 that found𐤌𐤑𐤀 the mules𐤄𐤉𐤌𐤌 in the wilderness,𐤁𐤌𐤃𐤁𐤓 as he fed𐤁𐤓𐤏𐤕𐤅 the asses𐤄𐤇𐤌𐤓𐤉𐤌 of Zibeon𐤋𐤑𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤍 his father.𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἀιὲ καὶ Ωνάν. οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ Ωνᾶς ὃς εὗρεν τὸν Ἰαμεὶν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, ὃτε ἔνεμεν τὰ ὑποζύγια Σεβεγὼν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ. ²⁵ And the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Anah𐤏𐤍𐤄 were these; Dishon,𐤃𐤔𐤍 and Aholibamah𐤅𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤁𐤌𐤄 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Anah.𐤏𐤍𐤄 οὗτοι δὲ Ἀνά· Δήσων καὶ ’oλιβεμὰ θυγάτηρ Ἀνά. ²⁶ And these are the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Dishon; Hemdan,𐤇𐤌𐤃𐤍 and Eshban,𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤁𐤍 and Ithran,𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤓𐤍 and Cheran.𐤅𐤊𐤓𐤍 οὗτοι ’δε υἱοὶ Ἁμαδὰ καὶ ἐσβὰν καὶ Ἰεθρὰν καὶ Χαρράν. ²⁷ The children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Ezer𐤀𐤑𐤓 are these; Bilhan,𐤁𐤋𐤄𐤍 and Zaavan,𐤅𐤆𐤏𐤅𐤍 and Akan.𐤅𐤏𐤒𐤍 οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Βαλαὰν καὶ Ζουκὰμ καὶ Ἰωυκὰμ καὶ Οὐκάν. ²⁸ The children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Dishan𐤃𐤉𐤔𐤍 are these; Uz,𐤏𐤅𐤑 and Aran.𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤍 οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ῥεισών· Ὢς καὶ Ἀράμ. ²⁹ These are the dukes𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉 that came of the Horites;𐤄𐤇𐤓𐤉 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Lotan,𐤋𐤅𐤈𐤍 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Shobal,𐤔𐤅𐤁𐤋 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Zibeon,𐤑𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤍 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Anah,𐤏𐤍𐤄 οὗτοι ὕε ἡγεμόνες Χορρεί. ἡγεμὼν Λωτάν, ἡγεμὼν Σωβάλ, ἡγεμὼν Σεβεγών, ἡγεμὼν Ἀνά, ³⁰ Duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Dishon,𐤃𐤔𐤍 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Ezer,𐤀𐤑𐤓 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Dishan:𐤃𐤉𐤔𐤍 these are the dukes𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉 that came of Hori,𐤄𐤇𐤓𐤉 among their dukes𐤋𐤀𐤋𐤐𐤉𐤄𐤌 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Seir.𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤓 𐤐 ἡγεμὼν Δήσων, ἡγεμὼν Σόαρ, ἡγεμὼν γεισῶν· οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Χορρεὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡγεμονίαις αὐτῶν ἐν γῇ Ἐδώμ. ³¹ And these are the kings𐤄𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤉𐤌 that reigned𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤅 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Edom,𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 before𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉 there reigned𐤌𐤋𐤊 any king𐤌𐤋𐤊 over the children𐤋𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Israel.𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 Καὶ οὗτοι οἱ βασιλεῖς οἱ βασιλεύσαντες ἐν Ἐδὼμ πρὸ τοῦ βασιλεῦσαι βασιλέα ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ. ³² And Bela𐤁𐤋𐤏 the son𐤁𐤍 of Beor𐤁𐤏𐤅𐤓 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in Edom:𐤁𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤌 and the name𐤅𐤔𐤌 of his city𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤅 was Dinhabah.𐤃𐤍𐤄𐤁𐤄 καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ἐδὼμ Βὰλακ υἱὸς τοῦ Βεὼρ, καὶ ὄνομα τῆ πόλει αὐτοῦ Δεννάβα. ³³ And Bela𐤁𐤋𐤏 died,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and Jobab𐤉𐤅𐤁𐤁 the son𐤁𐤍 of Zerah𐤆𐤓𐤇 of Bozrah𐤌𐤁𐤑𐤓𐤄 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in his stead. ἀπέθανεν δὲ Βαλὰκ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Ἰωβὰδ υἱὸς Σάρα ἐκ Βοσόρρας ³⁴ And Jobab𐤉𐤅𐤁𐤁 died,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and Husham𐤇𐤔𐤌 of the land𐤌𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Temani𐤄𐤕𐤉𐤌𐤍𐤉 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in his stead. απέθανεν δε Ἰωβάβ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Ἁσὸμ ἐκ γῆς Θεμανῶν. ³⁵ And Husham𐤇𐤔𐤌 died,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and Hadad𐤄𐤃𐤃 the son𐤁𐤍 of Bedad,𐤁𐤃𐤃 who smote𐤄𐤌𐤊𐤄 Midian𐤌𐤃𐤉𐤍 in the field𐤁𐤔𐤃𐤄 of Moab,𐤌𐤅𐤀𐤁 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in his stead: and the name𐤅𐤔𐤌 of his city𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤅 was Avith.𐤏𐤅𐤉𐤕 ἀπέθανεν δὲ Ἀσόμ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Ἁδὰδ υἱὸς Βαράδ, ὁ ἐκκόψας Μαδιάμ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ Μαωάβ. καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Γεθθόιμ. ³⁶ And Hadad𐤄𐤃𐤃 died,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and Samlah𐤔𐤌𐤋𐤄 of Masrekah𐤌𐤌𐤔𐤓𐤒𐤄 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in his stead. ἀπέθανεν δὲ Ἁδάδ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὖτοῦ Σαλαμὰ ἐκ Μασέκκασ. ³⁷ And Samlah𐤔𐤌𐤋𐤄 died,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and Saul𐤔𐤀𐤅𐤋 of Rehoboth𐤌𐤓𐤇𐤁𐤅𐤕 by the river𐤄𐤍𐤄𐤓 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in his stead. ἀπέθανεν δὲ Σαλαμά, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Σαοὺλ ἐκ Ῥοωβὼθ τῆς παρὰ ποταμόν. ³⁸ And Saul𐤔𐤀𐤅𐤋 died,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and Baal–hanan𐤁𐤏𐤋 the son𐤁𐤍 of Achbor𐤏𐤊𐤁𐤅𐤓 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in his stead. ἀπέθανεν δὲ Σαούλ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Βαλαεννών υἱὸς Ἀχοβὠρ. ³⁹ And Baal–hanan𐤁𐤏𐤋 the son𐤁𐤍 of Achbor𐤏𐤊𐤁𐤅𐤓 died,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 and Hadar𐤄𐤃𐤓 reigned𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 in his stead: and the name𐤅𐤔𐤌 of his city𐤏𐤉𐤓𐤅 was Pau;𐤐𐤏𐤅 and his wife's𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 name𐤅𐤔𐤌 was Mehetabel,𐤌𐤄𐤉𐤈𐤁𐤀𐤋 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Matred,𐤌𐤈𐤓𐤃 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Mezahab.𐤌𐤉 ἀπέθανεν δέ Βαλαεννὼν υἱὸς Ἀχοβώρ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ Ἁρὰθ υἱὸς Βαράθ. καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Φόγωρ. ὄνομα δὲ τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ Μετεβεήλ, θυγάτηρ Ματραεὶθ υἱοῦ Μεζοόβ. ⁴⁰ And these are the names𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤕 of the dukes𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐𐤉 that came of Esau,𐤏𐤔𐤅 according to their families,𐤋𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤇𐤕𐤌 after their places,𐤋𐤌𐤒𐤌𐤕𐤌 by their names;𐤁𐤔𐤌𐤕𐤌 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Timnah,𐤕𐤌𐤍𐤏 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Alvah,𐤏𐤋𐤅𐤄 duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐 Jetheth,𐤉𐤕𐤕 ταῦτα τἀ ὀνόματα τῶν ἡγεμόνων Ἠσαὺ ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ τόπον αὐτῶν, ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν· ἡγεμὼν Θαμνᾶ, ἠμεμὼν Γωλά, ἡγεμὼν Ἰεβέρ, ⁴¹ Duke𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤐
