Chapter 18 ¹ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 appeared𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 unto him in the plains𐤁𐤀𐤋𐤍𐤉 of Mamre:𐤌𐤌𐤓𐤀 and he sat𐤉𐤔𐤁 in the tent𐤄𐤀𐤄𐤋 door𐤐𐤕𐤇 in the heat𐤊𐤇𐤌 of the day;𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤌 Ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ θεός πρὸς τῇ δρυὶ τῇ Μαμβρή καθημένου αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτοῦ μεσημβρίας. ² And he lift up𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤀 his eyes𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤅 and looked,𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 and, lo, three𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤄 men𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 stood𐤍𐤑𐤁𐤉𐤌 by him: and when he saw𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 them, he ran𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤑 to meet them from the tent𐤄𐤀𐤄𐤋 door,𐤌𐤐𐤕𐤇 and bowed𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤕𐤇𐤅 himself toward the ground,𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤄 ἀναβλἐψας δὲ τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς αὐτοῦ ἴδεν, καὶ ἰδοὺ τρεῖς ἄνδρες ἰστήκεισαν ἐράνω αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἰδὼν προσέδραμεν εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτοῖς ἀπὸ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκη νῆς αὐτοῦ, καὶ προσεκύνησεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν· ³ And said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 My Lord, if now I have found𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤕𐤉 favour𐤇𐤍 in thy sight,𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤊 pass not away,𐤕𐤏𐤁𐤓 I pray thee, from thy servant:𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤊 καὶ εἶπεν Κύριε, εἰ ἄρα εὗρον χάριν ἐναντίον σου, μὴ παρέλθῃς τὸν παῖδά σου. ⁴ Let a little𐤌𐤏𐤈 water,𐤌𐤉𐤌 I pray you,𐤍𐤀 be fetched,𐤉𐤒𐤇 and wash𐤅𐤓𐤇𐤑𐤅 your feet,𐤓𐤂𐤋𐤉𐤊𐤌 and rest yourselves𐤅𐤄𐤔𐤏𐤍𐤅 under the tree:𐤄𐤏𐤑 λημφθήτω δὴ ὕδωρ, καὶ νιψάτω τοὺς πόδας ὑμῶν· καὶ καταψύξατε ὑπὸ τὸ δένδρον. ⁵ And I will fetch𐤅𐤀𐤒𐤇𐤄 a morsel𐤐𐤕 of bread,𐤋𐤇𐤌 and comfort ye𐤅𐤎𐤏𐤃𐤅 your hearts;𐤋𐤁𐤊𐤌 after that𐤀𐤇𐤓 ye shall pass on:𐤕𐤏𐤁𐤓𐤅 for therefore are ye come𐤏𐤁𐤓𐤕𐤌 to𐤏𐤋 your servant.𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤊𐤌 And they said,𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤕 So do,𐤕𐤏𐤔𐤄 as thou hast said.𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 καἰ λήμψομαι ἄρτον, καὶ φάγεσθε· κα μετὰ τοῦτο παρε· λεύσεσθε εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν ὑμῶν, οὗ εἵνεκεν ἐξεκλίνατε πρὸς τὸν παῖδα ὑμῶν. καὶ εἶπεν οὕτως ποίησον καθὼς εἴρηκας. ⁶ And Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 hastened𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤄𐤓 into the tent𐤄𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤄 unto Sarah,𐤔𐤓𐤄 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Make ready quickly𐤌𐤄𐤓𐤉 three𐤔𐤋𐤔 measures𐤎𐤀𐤉𐤌 of fine𐤎𐤋𐤕 meal,𐤒𐤌𐤇 knead𐤋𐤅𐤔𐤉 it, and make𐤅𐤏𐤔𐤉 cakes𐤏𐤂𐤅𐤕 upon the hearth. καὶ ἔσπευσεν Ἀβραὰμ ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν πρὸς Σάρραν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Σπεῦσον καὶ φύρασον τρία μέτρα σεμιδάλεως καὶ ποίησον ἐγκρυφίας. ⁷ And Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 ran𐤓𐤑 unto the herd,𐤄𐤁𐤒𐤓 and fetcht𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇 a calf𐤁𐤍 𐤁𐤒𐤓 tender𐤓𐤊 and good,𐤅𐤈𐤅𐤁 and gave𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍 it unto a young man;𐤄𐤍𐤏𐤓 and he hasted𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤄𐤓 to dress𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅𐤕 it. καὶ εἰς τὰς βόας ἰδραμεν Ἀβραάμ, καὶ ἔλαβον μοσχάριον ἁπαλὸν καὶ καλόν, κα ἔδωκεν τῶ παιδί, καὶ ἐτάχυνεν τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτό. ⁸ And he took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇 butter,𐤇𐤌𐤀𐤄 and milk,𐤅𐤇𐤋𐤁 and the calf𐤅𐤁𐤍 𐤄𐤁𐤒𐤓 which he had dressed,𐤏𐤔𐤄 and set𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍 it before them;𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤄𐤌 and he stood𐤏𐤌𐤃 by them under the tree,𐤄𐤏𐤑 and they did eat.𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤊𐤋𐤅 ἑλαβεν δὲ βούτυρον καὶ γάλα καὶ τὸ μοσχάριον ὃ ἐποίησεν, κα παρέθηκεν αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἐφάγοσαν· αὐτὸς δὲ παρειστήκει αὐτοῖς ὑπὸ τὸ δένδρον. ⁹ And they said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 unto him, Where𐤀𐤉𐤄 is Sarah𐤔𐤓𐤄 thy wife?𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤊 And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Behold, in the tent.𐤁𐤀𐤄𐤋 εἶρεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτόν Ηοῦ Σάρρα ἡ γυνή σου ; ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Ἴδου ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ. ¹⁰ And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I will certainly𐤔𐤅𐤁 return𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤁 unto thee according to the time𐤊𐤏𐤕 of life;𐤇𐤉𐤄 and, lo, Sarah𐤋𐤔𐤓𐤄 thy wife𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤊 shall have a son.𐤁𐤍 And Sarah𐤅𐤔𐤓𐤄 heard𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤕 it in the tent𐤄𐤀𐤄𐤋 door,𐤐𐤕𐤇 which was behind him.𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤅 εἶρεν δέ Ἐπαναστρέφων ἥξω πρὸς σὲ κατὰ τὸν καιρὸν τοῦτον εἰς ὥρας, καὶ ἔξει υἱὸν Σάρρα ἡ γυνή σου. Σάρρα δὲ ἤκουσεν πρὸς τῇ θύρᾳ τῆς σκηνῆς, οὖσα ὄπισθεν αὐτοῦ. ¹¹ Now Abraham𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 and Sarah𐤅𐤔𐤓𐤄 were old𐤆𐤒𐤍𐤉𐤌 and well stricken𐤁𐤀𐤉𐤌 in age;𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 and it ceased𐤇𐤃𐤋 to be with Sarah𐤋𐤔𐤓𐤄 after the manner𐤀𐤓𐤇 of women.𐤊𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 Ἀβραὰμ δὲ καὶ Σάρρα πρεσβύτεροι προβεβηκότες ἡμερῶν· ἐξέλειπεν δὲ Σάρρᾳ γίνεσθαι τὰ γυνοίκια. ¹² Therefore Sarah𐤔𐤓𐤄 laughed𐤅𐤕𐤑𐤇𐤒 within herself,𐤁𐤒𐤓𐤁𐤄 saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 After𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉 I am waxed old𐤁𐤋𐤕𐤉 shall I have pleasure,𐤏𐤃𐤍𐤄 my lord𐤅𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉 being old also?𐤆𐤒𐤍 ἐγέλασεν δὲ Σάρρα ἐν ἑαυτῇ λέγουσα οὔπω μέν μοι γέγονεν ἕως τοῦ νῦν· ὁ δὲ κύριός μου πρεσβύτερος. ¹³ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto Abraham,𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 Wherefore𐤋𐤌𐤄 did Sarah𐤔𐤓𐤄 laugh,𐤑𐤇𐤒𐤄 saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 Shall I of a surety𐤀𐤌𐤍𐤌 bear𐤀𐤋𐤃 a child, which𐤅𐤀𐤍𐤉 am old?𐤆𐤒𐤍𐤕𐤉 καὶ εἶπεν Κύριος πρὸς Ἀβραάμ ὅτι ἐγέλασεν Σάρρα ἐν ἑαυτῇ λέγουσα Ἀρά γε ἀληθῶς τέξομαι ; ἐγὼ δὲ γεγήρακα. ¹⁴ Is𐤄𐤉𐤐𐤋𐤀 any thing𐤃𐤁𐤓 too hard for the Lord?𐤌𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 At the time appointed𐤋𐤌𐤅𐤏𐤃 I will return𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤁 unto thee, according to the time𐤊𐤏𐤕 of life,𐤇𐤉𐤄 and Sarah𐤅𐤋𐤔𐤓𐤄 shall have a son.𐤁𐤍 μἠ ἀδυνατεῖ παρὰ τῷ ; εἰς τὸν καιρὸν τοῦτον ἀναστρέψω πρὸς σὲ εἰς ὥρας, καὶ ἔσται τῇ Σάρρᾳ υἱός. ¹⁵ Then Sarah𐤔𐤓𐤄 denied,𐤅𐤕𐤊𐤇𐤔 saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 I laughed𐤑𐤇𐤒𐤕𐤉 not; for she was afraid.𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤄 And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Nay;𐤋𐤀 but thou didst laugh.𐤑𐤇𐤒𐤕 ἠρνήσατο δὲ Σάρρα λέρυσα Οὐκ ἐγέλασα· ἐφοβήθη γἀρ. γάρ. καὶ εἶπεν Οὐχί, ἀλλὰ ἐγέλασας. ¹⁶ And the men𐤄𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 rose up𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤌𐤅 from thence, and looked𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤒𐤐𐤅 toward𐤐𐤍𐤉 Sodom:𐤎𐤃𐤌 and Abraham𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 went𐤄𐤋𐤊 with them to bring them on the way.𐤋𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤌 Ἐξαναστάντες δὲ ἐκεῖθεν οἱ ἄνδρες κατέβλεψαν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον Σοδόμων μαὶ Γομόρρας· Ἀβραὰμ δὲ συνεπορεύετο μετ’ αὐτῶν συνπροπέμπων αὐτούς. ¹⁷ And the Lord𐤅𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said,𐤀𐤌𐤓 Shall I hide𐤄𐤌𐤊𐤎𐤄 from Abraham𐤌𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 that thing which𐤀𐤔𐤓 I do;𐤏𐤔𐤄 ὀ δὲ κύριος εἶπεν Μἠ κρύψω ἐγὼ ἀπὸ Ἀβραὰμ τοῦ παιδός μου αἰ ἐγὼ ποιῶ ; ¹⁸ Seeing that Abraham𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 shall surely become a great𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋 and mighty𐤅𐤏𐤑𐤅𐤌 nation,𐤋𐤂𐤅𐤉 and all the nations𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤉 of the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 shall be blessed𐤅𐤍𐤁𐤓𐤊𐤅 in him? Ἁβραάμ δὲ γινόμενος ἔσται εἰς ἔθνος μέγα καὶ πολύ, καὶ ἐνευλογηθήσονται ἐν αὐτῷ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς γῆς. ¹⁹ For I know𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕𐤉𐤅 him, that𐤀𐤔𐤓 he will command𐤉𐤑𐤅𐤄 his children𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 and his household𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤅 after him,𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤅 and they shall keep𐤅𐤔𐤌𐤓𐤅 the way𐤃𐤓𐤊 of the Lord,𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 to do𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅𐤕 justice𐤑𐤃𐤒𐤄 and judgment;𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤈 that the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 may bring𐤄𐤁𐤉𐤀 upon Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 that which he hath spoken𐤃𐤁𐤓 of him. ᾔδειν γὰρ ὅτι συντάξει τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ μεθ’ ἑαυτόν, καὶ φυλάξουσιν τὰς ὁδοὺς Κυρίου ποιεῖν δικαιοσύνην καὶ κρίσιν, ὅπως ἄν ἐπαγάγῃ Κύριος ἐπὶ Ἀβραὰμ πάντα ὅσα ἐλάλησεν ἐπ’ αὐτόν. ²⁰ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Because the cry𐤆𐤏𐤒𐤕 of Sodom𐤎𐤃𐤌 and Gomorrah𐤅𐤏𐤌𐤓𐤄 is great, and because their sin𐤅𐤇𐤈𐤀𐤕𐤌 is very𐤌𐤀𐤃 grievous;𐤊𐤁𐤃𐤄 εἶπεν δὲ Κύριος Κραυγὴ Σοδόμων καὶ Γομόρρας πεπλήθυνται, καὶ αἱ ἁμαρτίαι αὐτῶν μεγάλαι σφόδρα. ²¹ I will go down𐤀𐤓𐤃𐤄 now, and see𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤀𐤄 whether they have done𐤏𐤔𐤅 altogether𐤊𐤋𐤄 according to the cry𐤄𐤊𐤑𐤏𐤒𐤕𐤄 of it, which is come𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤄 unto me; and if not, I will know.𐤀𐤃𐤏𐤄 καταβὰς οὖν ὄψομαι εἰ κατὰ τὴν κραυγὴν αὐτῶν τὴν ἐρχομένην πρὸς μὲ συντελοῦνταί· εἰ δὲ μή, ἵνα γνῶ. ²² And the men𐤄𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 turned their faces𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤍𐤅 from thence, and went toward Sodom:𐤎𐤃𐤌𐤄 but Abraham𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 stood𐤏𐤌𐤃 yet𐤏𐤅𐤃𐤍𐤅 before𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉 the Lord.𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Καὶ ἀποστρέψαντες ἐκεῖθεν οἱ ἄνδρες ἦλθον εἰς Σόδομα· Ἀβραὰμ δὲ ἦν ἑστηκὼς ἐναντίον Κυρίου. ²³ And Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 drew near,𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤔 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Wilt thou also destroy𐤕𐤎𐤐𐤄 the righteous𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒 with𐤏𐤌 the wicked?𐤓𐤔𐤏 καὶ ἐίσας Ἀβραὰμ εἶπεν Μὴ συναπολέσῃς δίκαιον μετὰ ἀσεβοῦς, καὶ ἱστᾶι ὁ δίκαιος ὡς ὁ ἀσεβής. ²⁴ Peradventure there be𐤉𐤔 fifty𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤉𐤌 righteous𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒𐤌 within𐤁𐤕𐤅𐤊 the city:𐤄𐤏𐤉𐤓 wilt thou also destroy𐤕𐤎𐤐𐤄 and not spare𐤕𐤔𐤀 the place𐤋𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌 for𐤋𐤌𐤏𐤍 the fifty𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤉𐤌 righteous𐤄𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒𐤌 that are therein?𐤁𐤒𐤓𐤁𐤄 ἐὰν ὦσιν πεντήκοντα ἐν τῇ πόλει δίκαιοι, ἀπολεῖς αὐτούς; οὐκ ἀνήσεις τὸν τόπον ἕνεκεν τῶν πεντήκοντα δικαίων, ἐὰν ὦσιν ἐν αὐτῇ ; ²⁵ That be far𐤇𐤋𐤋𐤄 from thee to do𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤕 after this manner,𐤊𐤃𐤁𐤓 to slay𐤋𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤕 the righteous𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒 with the wicked:𐤓𐤔𐤏 and that the righteous𐤊𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒 should be as the wicked,𐤊𐤓𐤔𐤏 that be far𐤇𐤋𐤋𐤄 from thee: Shall not the Judge𐤄𐤔𐤐𐤈 of all the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 do𐤉𐤏𐤔𐤄 right?𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤈 μηδαμῶς σὺ ποιήσεις ὡς τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο, τοῦ ἀποκτεῖναι δίκαιον μετὰ ἀσεβοῦς, καὶ ἱστᾶι ὁ δίκαιος ὡς ὁ ἀσεβής· μηδαμῶς. ὁ κρίνων πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν, οὐ ποιήσεις κρίσιν ; ²⁶ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 If I find𐤀𐤌𐤑𐤀 in Sodom𐤁𐤎𐤃𐤌 fifty𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤉𐤌 righteous𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒𐤌 within𐤁𐤕𐤅𐤊 the city,𐤄𐤏𐤉𐤓 then I will spare𐤅𐤍𐤔𐤀𐤕𐤉 all the place𐤄𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌 for their sakes. εἶπεν δὲ κύριος Ἐὰν εὕρω ἐν Σοδόμοις πεντήκοντα δικαίους ἐν τῇ πόλει, ἀφήσω πάντα τὸν τόπον δι’ αὐτούς. ²⁷ And Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 answered𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤍 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Behold now, I have taken upon me𐤄𐤅𐤀𐤋𐤕𐤉 to speak𐤋𐤃𐤁𐤓 unto the Lord,𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉 which𐤅𐤀𐤍𐤊𐤉 am but dust𐤏𐤐𐤓 and ashes:𐤅𐤀𐤐𐤓 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς Ἀβραὰμ εἶπεν Νῦν ἠρξάμην λαλῆσαι πρὸς τὸν κύριον, ἐγὼ δέ εἰμι γῆ καὶ σποδός· ²⁸ Peradventure there shall lack𐤉𐤇𐤎𐤓𐤅𐤍 five𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤄 of the fifty𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤉𐤌 righteous:𐤄𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒𐤌 wilt thou destroy𐤄𐤕𐤔𐤇𐤉𐤕 all the city𐤄𐤏𐤉𐤓 for lack of five?𐤁𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤄 And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 If I find𐤀𐤌𐤑𐤀 there forty𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 and five,𐤅𐤇𐤌𐤔𐤄 I will not destroy𐤀𐤔𐤇𐤉𐤕 it. ἐὰν δὲ ἐλαττονωθῶσιν οἱ πεντήκοντα δίκαιοι πέντε, ἀπολεῖς ἕνεκεν τῶν πέντε πᾶσαν τὴν πόλιν ; καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι Οὐ μὴ ἀπολέσω ἐὰν εὕρω ἐκεῖ τεσσεράκοντα πέντε. ²⁹ And he spake𐤋𐤃𐤁𐤓 unto him yet again,𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤐 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Peradventure there shall be forty𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 found𐤉𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤅𐤍 there. And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I will not do𐤀𐤏𐤔𐤄 it for forty's𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 sake. καὶ προσέθηκεν ἔτι λαλῆσαι πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ Ἐὰν δὲ εὑρεθῶσιν ἐκεῖ τεσσεράκοντα; καὶ εἶπεν Οὐ μὴ ἀπολέσω τῶν τεσσεράκοντα. ³⁰ And he said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto him, Oh𐤍𐤀 let not the Lord𐤋𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉 be angry,𐤉𐤇𐤓 and I will speak:𐤅𐤀𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤄 Peradventure there shall thirty𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤉𐤌 be found𐤉𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤅𐤍 there. And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I will not do𐤀𐤏𐤔𐤄 it, if I find𐤀𐤌𐤑𐤀 thirty𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤉𐤌 there. καὶ εἶπεν Μή τι, κύριε, ἐὰν λαλήσω· ἐὰν δὲ εὑρεθῶσιν ἔκει τριάκοντα; καὶ εἶπεν Οὐ μὴ ἀπολέσω ἐὰν εὑρεθῶσιν ἐκεῖ τριάκοντα. ³¹ And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Behold now, I have taken upon me𐤄𐤅𐤀𐤋𐤕𐤉 to speak𐤋𐤃𐤁𐤓 unto the Lord:𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉 Peradventure there shall be twenty𐤏𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤌 found𐤉𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤅𐤍 there. And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I will not destroy𐤀𐤔𐤇𐤉𐤕 it for twenty's𐤄𐤏𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤌 sake. καὶ εἶπεν Ἐπειδὴ ἰχῶ λαλῆσαι πρὸς τὸν κύριον, ἐὰν δὲ εὑρεθῶσιν ἐκεῖ εἴκοσι; καὶ εἶπεν Οὐ μὴ ἀπολέσω ἕνεκεν τῶν εἴκοσι. ³² And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Oh let not the Lord𐤋𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉 be angry,𐤉𐤇𐤓 and I will speak𐤅𐤀𐤃𐤁𐤓𐤄 yet𐤀𐤊 but this once:𐤄𐤐𐤏𐤌 Peradventure ten𐤏𐤔𐤓𐤄 shall be found𐤉𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤅𐤍 there. And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I will not destroy𐤀𐤔𐤇𐤉𐤕 it for ten's𐤄𐤏𐤔𐤓𐤄 sake. καἰ εἶπεν Μή τι, κύριε, ἐὰν λαλήσω ἔτι ἄπαξ· ἐὰν δὲ εὑΟεθῶσιν ἐκεῖ δέκα; καὶ εἶπεν Οὐ μὴ ἀπολέσω ἕνεκεν τῶν δέκα. ³³ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 went his way, as soon as𐤊𐤀𐤔𐤓 he had left𐤊𐤋𐤄 communing𐤋𐤃𐤁𐤓 with Abraham:𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 and Abraham𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 returned𐤔𐤁 unto his place.𐤋𐤌𐤒𐤌𐤅 ἀπῆλθεν δὲ κύριος ὡς ἐπαύσατο λαλῶν τῷ Ἀβραάμ, καὶ Ἀβραάμ ἀπέστρεψεν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ.
