Chapter 46 ¹ And Israel𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 took his journey𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤏 with all that he had, and came𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀 to Beer–sheba,𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤄 and offered𐤅𐤉𐤆𐤁𐤇 sacrifices𐤆𐤁𐤇𐤉𐤌 unto the God𐤋𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉 of his father𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 Isaac.𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 Ἀπάρας δὲ Ἰσραήλ, αὐτὸς καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτοῦ, ἦλθον ἐπὶ τὸ φρέαρ τοῦ ὅρκου, καὶ ἔθυσεν ἐκεῖ θυσίαν τῷ θεῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ Ἰσαάκ. ² And God𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌 spake𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto Israel𐤋𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 in the visions𐤁𐤌𐤓𐤀𐤕 of the night,𐤄𐤋𐤉𐤋𐤄 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Jacob,𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 Jacob.𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Here am I. εἶπεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ ἐν ὁράματι τῆς νυκτὸς εἴπας Ιακὼβ Ἰακώβ. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν Τί ἐστιν ; ³ And he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I am God,𐤄𐤀𐤋 the God𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉 of thy father:𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤊 fear𐤕𐤉𐤓𐤀 not to go down𐤌𐤓𐤃𐤄 into Egypt;𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 for I will there make𐤀𐤔𐤉𐤌𐤊 of thee a great𐤂𐤃𐤅𐤋 nation:𐤋𐤂𐤅𐤉 λέγων Ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεὸς τῶν οὐ· μὴ φοβοῦ καταβῆναι εἰς Αἴγυπτον, εἰς γὰρ ἔθνος μέγα ἐκεῖ· ⁴ I will go down𐤀𐤓𐤃 with thee into Egypt;𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 and I will also surely𐤀𐤏𐤋𐤊 bring thee up𐤏𐤋𐤄 again: and Joseph𐤅𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 shall put𐤉𐤔𐤉𐤕 his hand𐤉𐤃𐤅 upon thine eyes.𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤊 καὶ ἐγὼ καταβήσομαι μετὰ σοῦ εἰς Αἴγυπτον, καὶ ἐγὼ ἀναβιβάσω σε εἰς τέλος· καὶ ἸωσὴΦ ἐπιβαλεῖ τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου. ⁵ And Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 rose up𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤌 from Beer–sheba:𐤌𐤁𐤀𐤓 and the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Israel𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 carried𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤀𐤅 Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 their father,𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤄𐤌 and their little ones,𐤈𐤐𐤌 and their wives,𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤄𐤌 in the wagons𐤁𐤏𐤂𐤋𐤅𐤕 which Pharaoh𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 had sent𐤔𐤋𐤇 to carry𐤋𐤔𐤀𐤕 him. ἀνέστη δὲ Ἰακὼβ ἀπὸ τοῦ φρέατος τοῦ ὅρκου, καὶ ἀνέλαβον οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν καὶ τὴν ἀποσκευὴν καὶ τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰς ἁμάξας ἃς ἀπέστειλεν ἸωσὴΦ δρᾶι αὐτόν· ⁶ And they took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇𐤅 their cattle,𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤉𐤄𐤌 and their goods,𐤓𐤊𐤅𐤔𐤌 which they had gotten𐤓𐤊𐤔𐤅 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Canaan,𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 and came𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀𐤅 into Egypt,𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 Jacob,𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 and all his seed𐤆𐤓𐤏𐤅 with him: καὶ ἀναλαβόντες τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτῶν καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν κτῆσιν ἢν ἐκτήσαντο ἐκ γῆς Χανάαν, καὶ εἰσῆλθεν Ἰακὼβ εἰς Αἴγυπτον, καὶ πᾶν τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ, ⁷ His sons,𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 and his sons'𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 sons𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 with him, his daughters,𐤁𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤅 and his sons'𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 daughters,𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤅𐤕 and all his seed𐤆𐤓𐤏𐤅 brought he𐤄𐤁𐤉𐤀 with him into Egypt.𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 𐤎 υἱοὶ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ, θυγατέρες καὶ θυγατέρες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ. καὶ πᾶν τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ ἤγαγεν εἰς Αἴγυπτον. ⁸ And these are the names𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤕 of the children𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Israel,𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 which came𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤉𐤌 into Egypt,𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 Jacob𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 and his sons:𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 Reuben,𐤓𐤀𐤅𐤁𐤍 Jacob's𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 firstborn.𐤁𐤊𐤓 Ταῦτα δὲ τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ τῶν εἰσελθόντων εἰς Αἴγυπτον. Ἰακὼβ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ· πρωτότοκος Ἰακὼβ Ῥουβήν· ⁹ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Reuben;𐤓𐤀𐤅𐤁𐤍 Hanoch,𐤇𐤍𐤅𐤊 and Phallu,𐤅𐤐𐤋𐤅𐤀 and Hezron,𐤅𐤇𐤑𐤓𐤅𐤍 and Carmi.𐤅𐤊𐤓𐤌𐤉 υἱοὶ δὲ Ῥουβήν· Ἑνὼχ καὶ Φαλλούδ, Ἁσρὼν καὶ Χαρμί. ¹⁰ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Simeon;𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤍 Jemuel,𐤉𐤌𐤅𐤀𐤋 and Jamin,𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤍 and Ohad,𐤅𐤀𐤄𐤃 and Jachin,𐤅𐤉𐤊𐤉𐤍 and Zohar,𐤅𐤑𐤇𐤓 and Shaul𐤅𐤔𐤀𐤅𐤋 the son𐤁𐤍 of a Canaanitish𐤄𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍𐤉𐤕 woman. υἱοὶ δὲ Συμέων· Ἰεμουὴλ καὶ Ἰαμεὶν καὶ Ἄωδ καὶ Ἰαχεὶμ καὶ Σάαρ καὶ Σαμουὴλ υἱὸς τῆς Χανανίτιδος. ¹¹ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Levi;𐤋𐤅𐤉 Gershon,𐤂𐤓𐤔𐤅𐤍 Kohath,𐤒𐤄𐤕 and Merari.𐤅𐤌𐤓𐤓𐤉 υἱοὶ δὲ Λευί· Γηρσών, καὰθ καὶ Μεραρεί. ¹² And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Judah;𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 Er,𐤏𐤓 and Onan,𐤅𐤀𐤅𐤍𐤍 and Shelah,𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤄 and Pharez,𐤅𐤐𐤓𐤑 and Zerah:𐤅𐤆𐤓𐤇 but Er𐤏𐤓 and Onan𐤅𐤀𐤅𐤍𐤍 died𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤕 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Canaan.𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 And the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Pharez𐤐𐤓𐤑 were Hezron𐤇𐤑𐤓𐤅𐤍 and Hamul.𐤅𐤇𐤌𐤅𐤋 υἱοὶ δὲ Ἰούδα· Ἢρ καὶ Αὐνὰν καὶ Σηλὼμ καὶ Φάρες καὶ Ζάρα· ἀπέθανεν δὲ Ἢρ καὶ Αὐνὰν ἐν γῇ Χανάαν· ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Φάρες Ἁσρὼμ καὶ Ἰεμουήλ. ¹³ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Issachar;𐤉𐤔𐤔𐤊𐤓 Tola,𐤕𐤅𐤋𐤏 and Phuvah,𐤅𐤐𐤅𐤄 and Job,𐤅𐤉𐤅𐤁 and Shimron.𐤅𐤔𐤌𐤓𐤅𐤍 υἱοὶ δὲ Ἰσσαχόρ· Θωλὰ καὶ Φουὰ καὶ Ἰασοὺφ καὶ Ζαμβράμ. ¹⁴ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Zebulun;𐤆𐤁𐤅𐤋𐤍 Sered,𐤎𐤓𐤃 and Elon,𐤅𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤍 and Jahleel.𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤋𐤀𐤋 υἱοὶ δὲ Ζαβουλών· Σέρεδ καὶ Ἁσρὼν καὶ Ἁλοήλ. ¹⁵ These be the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Leah,𐤋𐤀𐤄 which she bare𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤄 unto Jacob𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 in Padan–aram,𐤁𐤐𐤃𐤍 with his daughter𐤁𐤕𐤅 Dinah:𐤃𐤉𐤍𐤄 all the souls𐤍𐤐𐤔 of his sons𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤅 and his daughters𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤅𐤕𐤉𐤅 were thirty𐤔𐤋𐤔𐤉𐤌 and three.𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤔 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Λείας, οὓς ἔτεκεν τῷ Ἰακὼβ ἐν Μεσοποταμίᾳ τῆς Συρίας, καὶ Δείναν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ· πᾶσαι αἱ ψυχαί, υἱοὶ καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες, τριάκοντα τρεῖς. ¹⁶ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Gad;𐤂𐤃 Ziphion,𐤑𐤐𐤉𐤅𐤍 and Haggi,𐤅𐤇𐤂𐤉 Shuni,𐤔𐤅𐤍𐤉 and Ezbon,𐤅𐤀𐤑𐤁𐤍 Eri,𐤏𐤓𐤉 and Arodi,𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤅𐤃𐤉 and Areli.𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤀𐤋𐤉 υἱοὶ δὲ Γάδ· Σαφῶν καὶ Ἁγγεὶς καὶ Σαυνὶς καὶ Θασοβὰν καὶ Ἀηδὶς καὶ Ἀροηδὶς καὶ Ἀροηλείς. ¹⁷ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Asher;𐤀𐤔𐤓 Jimnah,𐤉𐤌𐤍𐤄 and Ishuah,𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤅𐤄 and Isui,𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤅𐤉 and Beriah,𐤅𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤏𐤄 and Serah𐤅𐤔𐤓𐤇 their sister:𐤀𐤇𐤕𐤌 and the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Beriah;𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤏𐤄 Heber,𐤇𐤁𐤓 and Malchiel.𐤅𐤌𐤋𐤊𐤉𐤀𐤋 υἱοὶ δὲ Ἀσήρ· καὶ Ἰεσσαὶ καὶ Ἰεοὺλ καὶ Βαριὰ καὶ Σάαρ ἀδελφὴ αὐτῶν. υἱοὶ δὲ Βαριά· Χόβωρ καὶ Μελχιήλ. ¹⁸ These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Zilpah,𐤆𐤋𐤐𐤄 whom Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 gave𐤍𐤕𐤍 to Leah𐤋𐤋𐤀𐤄 his daughter,𐤁𐤕𐤅 and these she bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 unto Jacob,𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 even sixteen𐤔𐤔 𐤏𐤔𐤓𐤄 souls.𐤍𐤐𐤔 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ζέλφας, ἢν ἔδωκεν Λαβὰν Λείᾳ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ, ἣ ἔτεκεν τούτους τῷ Ἰακώβ, δέκα ¹⁹ The sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Rachel𐤓𐤇𐤋 Jacob's𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 wife;𐤀𐤔𐤕 Joseph,𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 and Benjamin.𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌𐤍 υἱοὶ δὲ Ῥαχὴλ γυναικὸς Ἰακώβ· Ἰωσὴφ καὶ Βενιαμείν. ²⁰ And unto Joseph𐤋𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Egypt𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 were born𐤅𐤉𐤅𐤋𐤃 Manasseh𐤌𐤍𐤔𐤄 and Ephraim,𐤀𐤐𐤓𐤉𐤌 which Asenath𐤀𐤎𐤍𐤕 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Poti–pherah𐤐𐤅𐤈𐤉 priest𐤊𐤄𐤍 of On𐤀𐤍 bare𐤉𐤋𐤃𐤄 unto him. ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Ἰωσὴφ ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ, οὓς ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ Ἀσεννὲθ θυγάτηρ Πετρεφῆ ἱερέως Ἡλίου πόλεως, τὸν Μαννασσὴ καὶ τὸν Ἐφράιμ. ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Μαννασσή, οὓς ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ ἡ παλλακὴ ἡ Σύρα, τὸν Μαχείρ· Μαχεὶρ δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Γαλαάδ. υἱοὶ δὲ Ἐφράιμ ἀδελφοῦ Μαννασσλη· Σουτάλααμ καὶ Τάαμ, υἱοὶ δὲ Σουτάλααμ· Ἐδέμ. ²¹ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Benjamin𐤁𐤍𐤉𐤌𐤍 were Belah,𐤁𐤋𐤏 and Becher,𐤅𐤁𐤊𐤓 and Ashbel,𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤁𐤋 Gera,𐤂𐤓𐤀 and Naaman,𐤅𐤍𐤏𐤌𐤍 Ehi,𐤀𐤇𐤉 and Rosh,𐤅𐤓𐤀𐤔 Muppim,𐤌𐤐𐤉𐤌 and Huppim,𐤅𐤇𐤐𐤉𐤌 and Ard.𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤃 υἱοὶ δὲ Βενιαμείν· Βάλα καὶ Χόβωρ καὶ Ἀσβήλ. ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Βαλὰ καὶ Νοεμὰν καὶ Ἀγχεὶς καὶ Ῥὼς καὶ Μαμφεὶν καὶ ‘oφιμίν· Γηρᾶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἄραδ. ²² These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Rachel,𐤓𐤇𐤋 which were born𐤉𐤋𐤃 to Jacob:𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 all the souls𐤍𐤐𐤔 were fourteen.𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤄 𐤏𐤔𐤓 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ῥαχὴλ οὓς ἐγέννησεν πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ δέκα ὀκτώ. ²³ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Dan;𐤃𐤍 Hushim.𐤇𐤔𐤉𐤌 υἱοὶ δὲ Δάν· Ἁσόμ. ²⁴ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Naphtali;𐤍𐤐𐤕𐤋𐤉 Jahzeel,𐤉𐤇𐤑𐤀𐤋 and Guni,𐤅𐤂𐤅𐤍𐤉 and Jezer,𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤓 and Shillem.𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἁσιὴλ καὶ Γωυνὶ καὶ Ἴσσααρ καὶ Συλλήμ. ²⁵ These are the sons𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Bilhah,𐤁𐤋𐤄𐤄 which Laban𐤋𐤁𐤍 gave𐤍𐤕𐤍 unto Rachel𐤋𐤓𐤇𐤋 his daughter,𐤁𐤕𐤅 and she bare𐤅𐤕𐤋𐤃 these unto Jacob:𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 all the souls𐤍𐤐𐤔 were seven.𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βάλλας, ἢν ἔδωκεν Λαβὰν Ῥαχὴλ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ, ἢ ἔτεκεν τούτους τῷ Ἰακώβ· πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ ἑπτά. ²⁶ All the souls𐤄𐤍𐤐𐤔 that came𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤄 with Jacob𐤋𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 into Egypt,𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 which came out𐤉𐤑𐤀𐤉 of his loins,𐤉𐤓𐤊𐤅 besides Jacob's𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 sons'𐤁𐤍𐤉 wives,𐤍𐤔𐤉 all the souls𐤍𐤐𐤔 were threescore𐤔𐤔𐤉𐤌 and six;𐤅𐤔𐤔 πᾶσαι δὲ ψυχαὶ αἱ εἰσελθοῦσαι μετὰ Ἰακὼβ εἰς Αἴγυπτον, οἱ ἐξελθόντες ἐκ τῶν μηρῶν αὐτοῦ, χωρὶς τῶν γυναικῶν υἱῶν Ἰακώβ, πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ ἑξήκοντα ἕξ. ²⁷ And the sons𐤅𐤁𐤍𐤉 of Joseph,𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 which were born𐤉𐤋𐤃 him in Egypt,𐤁𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌 were two𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤌 souls:𐤍𐤐𐤔 all the souls𐤄𐤍𐤐𐤔 of the house𐤋𐤁𐤉𐤕 of Jacob,𐤉𐤏𐤒𐤁 which came𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤄 into Egypt,𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 were threescore and ten.𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 𐤐 υἱοὶ δὲ Ἰωσὴφ οἱ γενόμενοι ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ψυχαὶ ἐννέα. πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ οἴκου Ἰακὼβ αἱ εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἑβδομήκοντα πέντε. ²⁸ And he sent𐤔𐤋𐤇 Judah𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤄 before him𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤅 unto Joseph,𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 to direct𐤋𐤄𐤅𐤓𐤕 his face𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤅 unto Goshen;𐤂𐤔𐤍𐤄 and they came𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀𐤅 into the land𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤄 of Goshen.𐤂𐤔𐤍 Τὸν δὲ Ἰούδαν ἀπέστειλεν ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν πρὸς Ἰωσὴφ συναντῆσαι αὐτῷ καθ’ Ἡρώων πόλιν εἰς γῆν Ῥαμεσσῆ. ²⁹ And Joseph𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 made ready𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤎𐤓 his chariot,𐤌𐤓𐤊𐤁𐤕𐤅 and went up𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤋 to meet Israel𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 his father,𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 to Goshen,𐤂𐤔𐤍𐤄 and presented𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 himself unto him; and he fell𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤋 on his neck,𐤑𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤉𐤅 and wept𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤊 on his neck𐤑𐤅𐤀𐤓𐤉𐤅 a good while.𐤏𐤅𐤃 ζεύξας δὲ Ἰωσὴφ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτοῦ ἀνέβη εἰς συνάντησιν Ἰσραὴλ τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ καθ’ Ἡρώων πόλιν· καὶ ὀφθεὶς αὐτῷ ἐπέπεσεν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔκλαυσεν κλαυθμῷ πίονι. ³⁰ And Israel𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto Joseph,𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 Now𐤄𐤐𐤏𐤌 let me die,𐤀𐤌𐤅𐤕𐤄 since𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉 I have seen𐤓𐤀𐤅𐤕𐤉 thy face,𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤊 because thou art yet𐤏𐤅𐤃𐤊 alive.𐤇𐤉 καὶ εἶπεν Ἰσραὴλ πρὸς Ἰωσήφ Ἀποθανοῦμαι ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν, ἐπειδὴ ἑώρακα τὸ πρόσωπόν σου· ἔτι γὰρ σὺ ζῆς. ³¹ And Joseph𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto his brethren,𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤅 and unto his father's𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 house,𐤁𐤉𐤕 I will go up,𐤀𐤏𐤋𐤄 and shew𐤅𐤀𐤂𐤉𐤃𐤄 Pharaoh,𐤋𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 and say𐤅𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤄 unto him, My brethren,𐤀𐤇𐤉 and my father's𐤀𐤁𐤉 house,𐤅𐤁𐤉𐤕 which were in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Canaan,𐤊𐤍𐤏𐤍 are come𐤁𐤀𐤅 unto me; εἶπεν δὲ Ἰωσὴφ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ Ἀναβὰς ἀπαγγελῶ τῷ Φαραὼ καὶ ἐμ αὐτῷ Οἱ ἀδελφοί μου καὶ ὁ οἶκος τοῦ πατρός μου, οἳ ἦσαν ἐν γῇ Χανάαν, ἥκασιν πρὸς μέ· ³² And the men𐤅𐤄𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌 are shepherds,𐤓𐤏𐤉 𐤑𐤀𐤍 for their trade hath been to feed cattle;𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄 and they have brought𐤄𐤁𐤉𐤀𐤅 their flocks,𐤅𐤑𐤀𐤍𐤌 and their herds,𐤅𐤁𐤒𐤓𐤌 and all that they have. οἱ δὲ ἄνδρες εἰσὶν ποιμένες· ἄνδρες γὰρ κτηνοτρόφοι ἦσαν· καὶ τὰ κτήνη καὶ βόας καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτῶν ἀγιόχασιν. ³³ And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh𐤐𐤓𐤏𐤄 shall call𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 you, and shall say,𐤅𐤀𐤌𐤓 What is your occupation?𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤊𐤌 ἐὰν οὑν καλέσῃ ὑμᾶς Φαραὼ καὶ εἴπῃ ὑμῖν Τί τὸ ἔργον ὑμῶν ἐστιν ; ³⁴ That ye shall say,𐤅𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤕𐤌 Thy servants'𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉𐤊 trade𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉 hath been about cattle𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄 from our youth𐤌𐤍𐤏𐤅𐤓𐤉𐤍𐤅 even until now, both we, and also our fathers:𐤀𐤁𐤕𐤉𐤍𐤅 that ye may dwell𐤕𐤔𐤁𐤅 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 of Goshen;𐤂𐤔𐤍 for every shepherd𐤓𐤏𐤄 𐤑𐤀𐤍 is an abomination𐤕𐤅𐤏𐤁𐤕 unto the Egyptians. ἐπεῖτε Ἄνδρες κτηνοτρόφοι ἐσμὲν οἱ παῖδές σου ἐκ παιδὸς ἕως τοῦ νῦν, καὶ ἡμεῖς καὶ οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν· ἵνα κατοικήσητε ἐν γῇ Γέσεμ Ἀραβίᾳ. βδέλυγμα γάρ ἐστιν Αἰγυπτίων πᾶς ποιμὴν προβάτων.
