Chapter 26 ¹ And there was a famine𐤓𐤏𐤁 in the land,𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 beside𐤌𐤋𐤁𐤃 the first𐤄𐤓𐤀𐤔𐤅𐤍 famine𐤄𐤓𐤏𐤁 that was in the days𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤉 of Abraham.𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 went unto Abimelech𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 king𐤌𐤋𐤊 of the Philistines𐤐𐤋𐤔𐤕𐤉𐤌 unto Gerar.𐤂𐤓𐤓𐤄 Ἐγένετο δὲ λιμὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, χωρὶς τοῦ λιμοῦ τοῦ πρότερον ὃς ἐν τῷ χρόνῳ τοῦ Ἀβραάμ· ἐπορεύθη δὲ Ἰσαὰκ πρὸς ’ α Φυλιστιεὶμ εἰς Γέραρα. ² And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 appeared𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 unto him, and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Go not down𐤕𐤓𐤃 into Egypt;𐤌𐤑𐤓𐤉𐤌𐤄 dwell𐤔𐤊𐤍 in the land𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 which I shall tell𐤀𐤌𐤓 thee of: ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ κύριος καὶ εἶπεν Μὴ εἰς Αἴγυπτον· κατοίκησον δὲ ἐν τῇ γῇ ᾗ ἄν σοι εἴπω. ³ Sojourn𐤂𐤅𐤓 in this land,𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 and I will be with thee, and will bless𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤊𐤊 thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed,𐤅𐤋𐤆𐤓𐤏𐤊 I will give𐤀𐤕𐤍 all these𐤄𐤀𐤋 countries,𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤕 and I will perform𐤅𐤄𐤒𐤌𐤕𐤉 the oath𐤄𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 which I sware𐤍𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤕𐤉 unto Abraham𐤋𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 thy father;𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤊 καὶ παροίκει ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ κοὶ ἔσομαι μετὰ σοῦ καὶ εὐλογήσω σε· σοὶ γὰρ καὶ τῷ σπέρματί σου δώσω πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν ταύτην, καὶ στήσω τὸν ὅρκον μου ὃν ὤμοσα Ἀβραὰμ τῷ πατρί σου. ⁴ And I will make𐤅𐤄𐤓𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤉 thy seed𐤆𐤓𐤏𐤊 to multiply as the stars𐤊𐤊𐤅𐤊𐤁𐤉 of heaven,𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌 and will give𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤕𐤉 unto thy seed𐤋𐤆𐤓𐤏𐤊 all these𐤄𐤀𐤋 countries;𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑𐤕 and in thy seed𐤁𐤆𐤓𐤏𐤊 shall all the nations𐤂𐤅𐤉𐤉 of the earth𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑 be blessed;𐤅𐤄𐤕𐤁𐤓𐤊𐤅 καὶ πληθυνῶ τὸ σπέρμα σου ὡς τοὺς ἀστέρας τοῦ οὐρανοῦ· καὶ δώσω τῷ σπέρματί σου πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν ταύτην· καὶ ἐνευλογηθήσονται ἐν τῷ σπέρματί σου πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς γῆς· ⁵ Because𐤏𐤒𐤁 that Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 obeyed𐤔𐤌𐤏 my voice,𐤁𐤒𐤋𐤉 and kept𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤓 my charge,𐤌𐤔𐤌𐤓𐤕𐤉 my commandments,𐤌𐤑𐤅𐤕𐤉 my statutes,𐤇𐤒𐤅𐤕𐤉 and my laws.𐤅𐤕𐤅𐤓𐤕𐤉 ἀνθ᾿ ὦν ὑπήκουσεν Ἀβραὰμ ὁ πατήρ σου τῆς ἐμῆς φωνῆς, καὶ ἐφύλαξεν τὰ προστάγματά μου καὶ τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ τὰ δικαιώματά μου καὶ τὰ νόμιμά μου. ⁶ And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 dwelt𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁 in Gerar:𐤁𐤂𐤓𐤓 καὶ κατῴκησεν Ἰσαὰκ ἐν Γεραροῖς. ⁷ And the men𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉 of the place𐤄𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌 asked𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤀𐤋𐤅 him of his wife;𐤋𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 and he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 She is my sister:𐤀𐤇𐤕𐤉 for he feared𐤉𐤓𐤀 to say,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 She is my wife;𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤉 lest, said he, the men𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉 of the place𐤄𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌 should kill𐤉𐤄𐤓𐤂𐤍𐤉 me for Rebekah;𐤓𐤁𐤒𐤄 because she was fair𐤈𐤅𐤁𐤕 to look upon.𐤌𐤓𐤀𐤄 ἐπηρώτησαν δὲ οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ τόπου περὶ Ῥεβέκκας τῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι Ἀδελφή μού ἐστιν· ἐφοβήθη γὰρ εἰπεῖν ὅτι Γυνή μού ἐστιν, μή ποτε ἀποκτείνωσιν αὐτὸν οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦτόπου περὶ Ῥεβέκκας, ὅτι ὡραία τῇ ὄψει ἦν. ⁸ And it came to pass, when he had been there a long𐤀𐤓𐤊𐤅 time,𐤄𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 that Abimelech𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 king𐤌𐤋𐤊 of the Philistines𐤐𐤋𐤔𐤕𐤉𐤌 looked out𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤒𐤐 at𐤁𐤏𐤃 a window,𐤄𐤇𐤋𐤅𐤍 and saw,𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 and, behold, Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 was sporting𐤌𐤑𐤇𐤒 with Rebekah𐤓𐤁𐤒𐤄 his wife.𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 ἐγένετο δὲ πολυχρόνιος ἐκεῖ· παρακύψας δὲ Ἀβιμέλεχ ὁ βασιλεὺς Γεραρῶν διὰ τῆς θυρίδος ἴδεν τὸν Ἰσαὰκ παίζοντα μετὰ ς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ. ⁹ And Abimelech𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 Isaac,𐤋𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 Behold, of a surety𐤀𐤊 she is thy wife:𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤊 and how saidst𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤕 thou, She is my sister?𐤀𐤇𐤕𐤉 And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto him, Because I said,𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤕𐤉 Lest I die𐤀𐤌𐤅𐤕 for her. έκάλεσεν δὲ Ἀβιμέλεχ τὸν Ἰσοὰκ καὶ αὐτῷ Ἄρα γε γυνή σού ἐστιν· τί ὅτι εἶπας Ἀδελφή μού ἐστιν ; εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Ἰσαάκ Εἶπα γάρ Μή ποτε ἀποθάνω δι’ αὐτήν. ¹⁰ And Abimelech𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 What is this thou hast done𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕 unto us? one𐤀𐤇𐤃 of the people𐤄𐤏𐤌 might lightly𐤊𐤌𐤏𐤈 have lien𐤔𐤊𐤁 with thy wife,𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤊 and thou shouldest have brought𐤅𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤕 guiltiness𐤀𐤔𐤌 upon us. εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Ἀβιμέλεχ Τί τοῦτο ἐποίησας ἡμῖν ; μικροῦ ἐκοιμήθη τις τοῦ γένους μου μετὰ τῆς γυναικός σου, καὶ ἐπήγαγες ἐφ’ ἐφ᾿ ἄγνοιαν. ¹¹ And Abimelech𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 charged𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤅 all his people,𐤄𐤏𐤌 saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 He that toucheth𐤄𐤍𐤂𐤏 this man𐤁𐤀𐤉𐤔 or his wife𐤅𐤁𐤀𐤔𐤕𐤅 shall surely𐤌𐤅𐤕 be put to death.𐤉𐤅𐤌𐤕 συνέταξεν δὲ Ἀριμέλεχ παντὶ τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ λέγων Πᾶς ὁ ἀπτόμενος τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τούτου ἢ τῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ θανάτου ἔνοχος ἔσται. ¹² Then Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 sowed𐤅𐤉𐤆𐤓𐤏 in that land,𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 and received𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤑𐤀 in the same year𐤁𐤔𐤍𐤄 an hundredfold:𐤌𐤀𐤄 𐤔𐤏𐤓𐤉𐤌 and the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 blessed𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤓𐤊𐤄𐤅 him. ἔσπειρεν δὲ Ἰσαὰκ ἐν τῇ γῇ ἐκείνῃ, καὶ εὗρεν ἐν τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ ἐκείνῳ Α ἑκατοστεύουσαν κριθήν· εὐλόγησεν δὲ αὐτὸν κύριος. ¹³ And the man𐤄𐤀𐤉𐤔 waxed great,𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤃𐤋 and went forward,𐤅𐤉𐤋𐤊 and grew𐤅𐤂𐤃𐤋 until he became𐤂𐤃𐤋 very𐤌𐤀𐤃 great: καὶ ὑψώθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος, καὶ προβαίνων μείζων ἐγίνετο ἕως οὗ μέγας ἐγίνετο σφόδρα· ¹⁴ For he had possession𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄 of flocks,𐤑𐤀𐤍 and possession𐤅𐤌𐤒𐤍𐤄 of herds,𐤁𐤒𐤓 and great store𐤓𐤁𐤄 of servants:𐤅𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤄 and the Philistines𐤐𐤋𐤔𐤕𐤉𐤌 envied𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤍𐤀𐤅 him. ἐγένετο δὲ αὐτῷ κτήνη προβάτων καὶ κτήνη βοῶν καὶ γεώργια πολλά. ἐζήλωσαν δὲ αὐτὸν οἱ Φυλιστιείμ· ¹⁵ For all the wells𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤕 which his father's𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 servants𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉 had digged𐤇𐤐𐤓𐤅 in the days𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤉 of Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 his father,𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 the Philistines𐤐𐤋𐤔𐤕𐤉𐤌 had stopped𐤎𐤕𐤌𐤅𐤌 them, and filled𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤅𐤌 them with earth.𐤏𐤐𐤓 καὶ πάντα τὰ φρέατα ἃ ὤρυξαν οἱ παῖδες τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ χρόνῳ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, ἐνέφραξαν αὐτὰ οἱ Φυλιστιεὶμ καὶ ἔπλησαν αὐτὰ γῆς. ¹⁶ And Abimelech𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto Isaac,𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 Go from us; for thou art much𐤌𐤀𐤃 mightier𐤏𐤑𐤌𐤕 than we. εἶπεν δ πρὸς Ἰσαάκ Ἄπελθε ἀφ’ ἡμῶν, ὅτι δυνατώτερος ἡμῶν ἐγένου ¹⁷ And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 departed thence, and pitched his tent𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤍 in the valley𐤁𐤍𐤇𐤋 of Gerar,𐤂𐤓𐤓 and dwelt𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁 there.𐤌𐤔𐤌 καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ἐκεῖθεν Ἰσαὰκ καὶ κατέλυσεν ἐν τῇ φάραγγι καὶ κατῴκησεν ἐκεῖ. ¹⁸ And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 digged𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤐𐤓 again𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁 the wells𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤕 of water,𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 which they had digged𐤇𐤐𐤓𐤅 in the days𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤉 of Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 his father;𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 for the Philistines𐤐𐤋𐤔𐤕𐤉𐤌 had stopped𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤕𐤌𐤅𐤌 them after𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉 the death𐤌𐤅𐤕 of Abraham:𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 and he called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 their names𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤕 after the names𐤊𐤔𐤌𐤕 by which𐤀𐤔𐤓 his father𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤅 had called𐤒𐤓𐤀 them. καὶ πάλιν Ἰσαὰκ ὤρυξεν τὰ φρέατα τοῦ ὕδατος ἃ ὤρυξαν οἱ παῖδες Ἀβραὰμ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐνέφραξαν αὐτὰ οἱ Φυλιστιεὶμ μετὰ τὸ ἀποθανεῖν Ἀβραὰμ τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν αὐτοῖς ὀνόματα κατὰ τὰ ὀνόματα ἃ ὠνόμασεν Ἀβραὰμ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ. ¹⁹ And Isaac's𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 servants𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉 digged𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤐𐤓𐤅 in the valley,𐤁𐤍𐤇𐤋 and found𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤅 there a well𐤁𐤀𐤓 of springing𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌 water.𐤌𐤉𐤌 ὤρυξαν δὲ οἱ παῖδες Ἰσαὰκ ἐν τῇ φάραγγι Γεραρῶν, καὶ εὗρον ἐκεῖ φρέαρ ὕδατος ζῶντός. ²⁰ And the herdmen𐤓𐤏𐤉 of Gerar𐤂𐤓𐤓 did strive𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤉𐤁𐤅 with Isaac's𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 herdmen,𐤓𐤏𐤉 saying,𐤋𐤀𐤌𐤓 The water𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤌 is ours: and he called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 the name𐤔𐤌 of the well𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 Esek;𐤏𐤔𐤒 because they strove𐤄𐤕𐤏𐤔𐤒𐤅 with him. καὶ ἐμαχέσαντο Γεραρῶν μετὰ τῶν ποιμένων Ἰσαάκ, φάσκοντες αὐτῶν εἶναι τὸ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τό ὄνομα τοῦ φρέατος ἐκείνου Ἀδικία· ἠδίκησαν γὰρ αὐτόν. ²¹ And they digged𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤐𐤓𐤅 another𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤕 well,𐤁𐤀𐤓 and strove𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤉𐤁𐤅 for that also: and he called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 the name of it𐤔𐤌𐤄 Sitnah.𐤔𐤈𐤍𐤄 ἀπάρας δὲ Ἰσαὰκ ἐκεῖθεν ὤρυξεν φρέαρ ἕτερον· ἐκρίνοντο δὲ καὶ περὶ ἐκείνου, καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἐχθρία. ²² And he removed𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤕𐤒 from thence, and digged𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤐𐤓 another𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤕 well;𐤁𐤀𐤓 and for that they strove𐤓𐤁𐤅 not: and he called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 the name of it𐤔𐤌𐤄 Rehoboth;𐤓𐤇𐤁𐤅𐤕 and he said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 For now𐤏𐤕𐤄 the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 hath made room𐤄𐤓𐤇𐤉𐤁 for us, and we shall be fruitful𐤅𐤐𐤓𐤉𐤍𐤅 in the land.𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤑 ἀπάρας δὲ ἐκεῖθεν ὤρυξεν φρέαρ ἕτερον, καὶ οὐκ ἐμαχέσαντο περὶ αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Εὐρυχωρία, λέγων Διότι νῦν ἐπλάτυνεν κύριος ἡμῖν καὶ ηὔξησεν ἡμᾶς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. ²³ And he went up𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤋 from thence to Beer–sheba.𐤁𐤀𐤓 ἀνέβη δὲ ἐκεῖθεν ἐπὶ τὸ φρέαρ τοῦ ὅρκου. ²⁴ And the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 appeared𐤅𐤉𐤓𐤀 unto him the same night,𐤁𐤋𐤉𐤋𐤄 and said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 I am the God𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉 of Abraham𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 thy father:𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤊 fear𐤕𐤉𐤓𐤀 not, for I am with𐤀𐤕𐤊 thee, and will bless𐤅𐤁𐤓𐤊𐤕𐤉𐤊 thee, and multiply𐤅𐤄𐤓𐤁𐤉𐤕𐤉 thy seed𐤆𐤓𐤏𐤊 for my servant𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉 Abraham's𐤀𐤁𐤓𐤄𐤌 sake. καὶ ὤφθη αὐτῷ κύριος ἐν τῆ νυκτὶ ἐκείνῃ, καὶ εἶπεν Ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεὸς Ἀβραὰμ τοῦ πατρός σου· μὴ φοβοῦ· μετὰ σοῦ γάρ εἰμι, καὶ εὐλογήσω σε καὶ πληθυνῶ τὸ σπέρμα σου διὰ Ἀβραὰμ τὸν πατέρα σου. ²⁵ And he builded𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤍 an altar𐤌𐤆𐤁𐤇 there, and called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 upon the name𐤁𐤔𐤌 of the Lord,𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and pitched𐤅𐤉𐤈 his tent𐤀𐤄𐤋𐤅 there: and there Isaac's𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 servants𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉 digged𐤅𐤉𐤊𐤓𐤅 a well.𐤁𐤀𐤓 καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐκεῖ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου, καὶ ἔπηξεν ἐκεῖ τὴν σκηνὴν αὐτοῦ· ὤρυξαν δὲ ἐκεῖ οἱ παῖδες Ἰσαὰκ φρέαρ. ²⁶ Then Abimelech𐤅𐤀𐤁𐤉𐤌𐤋𐤊 went𐤄𐤋𐤊 to him from Gerar,𐤌𐤂𐤓𐤓 and Ahuzzath𐤅𐤀𐤇𐤆𐤕 one of his friends,𐤌𐤓𐤏𐤄𐤅 and Phichol𐤅𐤐𐤉𐤊𐤋 the chief captain𐤔𐤓 of his army.𐤑𐤁𐤀𐤅 καὶ Ἀβιμέλεχ ἐπορεύθη πρὸς αὐτὸν ἀπὸ Γεραρῶν, καὶ Ὀχοζὰθ ὁ νυμφαγωγὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ Φικὸλ ὁ ἀρχιστράτηγος τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ. ²⁷ And Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓 unto them, Wherefore𐤌𐤃𐤅𐤏 come𐤁𐤀𐤕𐤌 ye to me, seeing ye hate𐤔𐤍𐤀𐤕𐤌 me, and have sent me away𐤅𐤕𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤅𐤍𐤉 from you? καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἰσαάκ Ἵνα τί ἤλθατε πρὸς με καὶ ἀπεστείλατέ με ἀφ’ ὑμῶν. ²⁸ And they said,𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 We saw𐤓𐤀𐤅 certainly𐤓𐤀𐤉𐤍𐤅 that the Lord𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was with thee: and we said,𐤅𐤍𐤀𐤌𐤓 Let there be now an oath𐤀𐤋𐤄 betwixt𐤁𐤉𐤍𐤅𐤕𐤉𐤍𐤅 us, even betwixt𐤁𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅 us and thee, and let us make𐤅𐤍𐤊𐤓𐤕𐤄 a covenant𐤁𐤓𐤉𐤕 with thee; καὶ εἶπαν Ἰδόντες ἑωράκαμεν ὅτι ἦν κύριος μετὰ σοῦ, καὶ εἴπαμεν Γενέσθω ἀρὰ ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον σοῦ, καὶ διαθησόμεθα μετὰ σοῦ διαθήκην ²⁹ That thou wilt do𐤕𐤏𐤔𐤄 us no hurt,𐤓𐤏𐤄 as we have not touched𐤍𐤂𐤏𐤍𐤅𐤊 thee, and as we have done𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤍𐤅 unto thee nothing but𐤓𐤒 good,𐤈𐤅𐤁 and have sent thee away𐤅𐤍𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤊 in peace:𐤁𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 thou art now𐤏𐤕𐤄 the blessed𐤁𐤓𐤅𐤊 of the Lord.𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 μὴ ποιήσειν μεθ’ ἡμῶν κακόν, καθότι ἡμεῖς σε οὐκ έβδελυεάεθα, καὶ ὃν τρόπον ἐχρήμεθά σοι καλῶς καὶ ἐξαπεστείλαμέν σε μετ’ εἰρήνης. καὶ νῦν σὺ εὐλογητὸς ὑπὸ κυρίου. ³⁰ And he made𐤅𐤉𐤏𐤔 them a feast,𐤌𐤔𐤕𐤄 and they did eat𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤊𐤋𐤅 and drink.𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤕𐤅 καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτοῖς δοχήν· καὶ ἔφαγον καὶ ἔπιον. ³¹ And they rose up betimes𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤊𐤉𐤌𐤅 in the morning,𐤁𐤁𐤒𐤓 and sware𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤅 one𐤀𐤉𐤔 to another:𐤋𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤅 and Isaac𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 sent them away,𐤅𐤉𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤌 and they departed from him in peace.𐤁𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 καὶ ἀναστάντες τὸ πρωί, ὤμοσαν ἄνθρωπος τῷ πλησίον αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς Ἰσαάκ, καὶ ἀπῴχοντο ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ μετὰ σωτηρίας. ³² And it came to pass the same day,𐤁𐤉𐤅𐤌 that Isaac's𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 servants𐤏𐤁𐤃𐤉 came,𐤅𐤉𐤁𐤀𐤅 and told𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤃𐤅 him concerning𐤀𐤃𐤅𐤕 the well𐤄𐤁𐤀𐤓 which they had digged,𐤇𐤐𐤓𐤅 and said𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅 unto him, We have found𐤌𐤑𐤀𐤍𐤅 water.𐤌𐤉𐤌 ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ παραγενόμενοι οἱ παῖδες Ἰσαὰκ ἀπήγγειλαν αὐτῷ περὶ τοῦ φρέατος οὗ ὤρυξαν, καὶ εἶπαν οὐχ εὕρομεν ὕδωρ. ³³ And he called𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤓𐤀 it Shebah:𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤄 therefore the name𐤔𐤌 of the city𐤄𐤏𐤉𐤓 is Beer–sheba𐤁𐤀𐤓 unto this day.𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤌 καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ορκος· διὰ τοῦτο ἐκάλεσεν τὸ Ὄνομα τῇ πόλει Φρέαρ Φρέαρ ἕως τῆς σήμερον ἡμέρας. ³⁴ And Esau𐤏𐤔𐤅 was forty𐤀𐤓𐤁𐤏𐤉𐤌 years𐤔𐤍𐤄 old𐤁𐤍 when he took𐤅𐤉𐤒𐤇 to wife𐤀𐤔𐤄 Judith𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤉𐤕 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Beeri𐤁𐤀𐤓𐤉 the Hittite,𐤄𐤇𐤕𐤉 and Bashemath𐤁𐤔𐤌𐤕 the daughter𐤁𐤕 of Elon𐤀𐤉𐤋𐤍 the Hittite:𐤄𐤇𐤕𐤉 Ἦν δὲ Ἠσαὺ ἐτῶν τεσσεράκοντα καὶ ἔλαβεν γυναῖκα Ἰουδίν, θυγατέρα εὴρ τοῦ Χετταίου, καὶ τὴν Μασεμμάθ, θυγατέρα Αἰλὼμ τοῦ Εἀαίου· ³⁵ Which were a grief𐤌𐤓𐤕 of mind𐤓𐤅𐤇 unto Isaac𐤋𐤉𐤑𐤇𐤒 and to Rebekah.𐤅𐤋𐤓𐤁𐤒𐤄 𐤎 καὶ ἦσαν ἐρίζουσαι τῷ Ἰσαὰκ καὶ τῆ Ῥεβέκκα.
